I'd thoroughly recommend the city and the tour of Auschwitz. Very humbling and shocking. An important part of history which we can all learn from.
Just go. I'd never fancied any of these Eastern Bloc countries. I happened upon a similar deal to this about 3 years ago and have now been 4 times. I promise you will love it. The Jewish Quarter is fantastic, a bit run down, in a nice way, but full of character and jam packed with cheap bars and restaurants. Auschwitz is a really sobering day but really enlightening. The Old Town Square is beautiful (The Wodka cafe bar is a must visit)...

...I could go on but meh, just go already

Just looked and wyspianski hotel is in a perfect location. Right by Old Town and about a 10 minute walk/3 minute taxi ride (less than a fiver, probably about £3) taxi ride to the Jewish Quarter and 6 minute walk to the Blue Van sausage men

This sign really stuck in my mind when we visited it.

A lovely city and Auschwitz is a place EVERYBODY needs to go and visit, a true reminder of what could have been and how lucky we are.

Puts a lot of things in to perspective.
2 Nights is definitely too short.
You can book cheap flights and accommodation yourself without Groupon.
November is cheap but the weather normally isn’t that nice. Go Spring, Summer to early Autumn for nice warm sunny weather or December January for cosy proper winter.
Wizzair fly Luton->Kraków, Ryanair Stansted -> Krakow, EasyJet Gatwick->Krk, as well as many other airlines from different airports in the UK. Use Skyscanner for comparing.
There is something like 2000 short term accommodation (hotels, b&b, apart-hotels and etc.) so there is massive variety / selection, you can search and compare on Expedia or HotelsCombine for example.
Trip to Auschwitz you can also easily book yourself in any tourist place in Kraków, online or in hotel. It is only about £20 to £50 depending on the group size (2-8 ppl), or free (Museum entry) if you go without guided tour (but I don’t recommend this as can learn much more with). 1,5 hour is too short for Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Heat added for Kraków

To be honest, if you were going to go and do this justice, you'd need longer. Heat added.

I’m not sure you understand what a Nazi is...
You can likely do it in a day but 1.5 hours and you'll barely get round Auschwitz 1. Theres so much to see and the place is basically a museum.
The second camp doesnt much in the way of things to see and read, itll just take a while to walk around.

Its worth going to the Wieliczka salt mines while you're in the area.

They were. That is the most disturbing thing.
Great city. Loads of cheap flights there from most airports if you take the time to go look. Use skyscanner.net. lots of cheap accommodation too.
Krakow was absolutely fantastic, one of my favourite city breaks.
Friendly Locals, reasonably priced food and drink. Nice character.
Auschwitz incredibly emotional, it is a must visit.

I'd go back to Krakow tomorrow.

English is a second language for many on here, I think they do quite well really. If you’re going to knock them for their grammar you could at least use punctuation. Full stops are part of grammar

I'm looking at that sign and I realise: there's no future for someone sticking with history for the rest of his life. A museum like this shouldn't exist. It must be a time when we need stop talking about.

I was exactly the same. I went a few weeks ago and now can't wait to go back. Fantastic city.
Amazing city but you really need more than two nights.

Aushwitz done at a pace to give it the respect it deserves and with transfers from krakow (over an hour each way) it will take most of the day,

Make sure you take time to walk round the rest of the city and look at the other parts saltmines(need a transfer), castle, the square , Jewish quarter, the rest of the beautiful architecture, the bars! Krakow is far more than just what happened during nazi occupation but on this deal that’s going to be pretty much all you will have chance to see. Especially if it’s paired with late arrivals and early departures (no mention on the group on of flight times).

Weird how two people can read the same thing but interpret it differently.

I don't think it's about being stuck with history of Nazis, one of the worst atrocities in human history and its never really mentioned (probably bar some idiots at football referencing it), but it is good to remind us where we were and how far we've come since then and to carry on.

We always need reference points to push us towards hitting targets, this is an excellent one when it comes to civilisation.
Krakow is brilliant. Cheap bars - got a pint for 65p in a bar in the Jewish quarter. Lots of nice squares with cafe bars. Aushwitz is horrific but got to do it.
Bargain. Lovely city and it's outside the euro so cheaper than the UK for food and drink.

Not sure if its somewhere id go on holiday
We all know what went on there.
Its a place for dark tourism. Not my thing
Just back from Krakow, it's well worth visiting; but Auschwitz is at least an hour away by bus and the tour a couple of hours so if you go there that is going to take up much of your one whole day in Krakow.
Christmas market is great for foodies and remember to visit the Wieliska salt caves!
Bargain deal, but as others mention 1.5 hours in Auschwitz isn’t enough. Best off creating your own deal I reckon.

In the same way that we look different at that inscription, different people get different experiences from the same lessons. Not to mention the ones that totally ignore those teachings. If I look around, I see the history repeating in a loop, the actors are always changing, but the stage is thousands of years old and unchanged.

What could have been??? How about North Korea and their camps? It is happening right now. Why nobody is doing anything about this?

You're wrong. Nazi, or Nazism, is a political ideology.
Never with groupon.
