This 4-night package -- which comes with flights, stays in Rome and Venice, and a train journey through rolling Tuscan countryside -- is the cheapest we've ever seen it. And at £179 per person, it's up to 66% cheaper than it would cost to put together yourself.

What's included

Return flights from London Gatwick or Stansted
Two nights at the 4-star Ars Hotel in Rome, with a welcome drink and late checkout
Two nights at the 4-star Hotel Ambasciatori in Venice, with early check-in and a free bottle of sparkling wine
Daily breakfast
Train from Rome to Venice
When
Depart from London Gatwick on 4-5, 11, 24-25 February; 3-4, 10-11, 18-19 March; or from London Stansted on 30 January; 2-6, 8-13, 17, 25-26 February; 5, 9-11, 16-19, 23-24, 26-27, 29 March.

It's an extra £60 per person to travel from London Stansted on 7-15, 18-21 May; 4-12, 15-19, 22-26 June.

Hotel details
The trip starts in Rome with a stay at the Ars Hotel, which has a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2013. Housed in an 18th-century villa, the hotel is in Rome's quiet Monte Sacro district, just outside the city centre and easily accessible by bus. The Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps are four miles away.

Next, take the train from Rome to Venice, where you'll check in at the Hotel Ambasciatori. This 4-star hotel is in Mestre, roughly a 10-minute bus or boat journey from St Mark's Square and Venice's network of bridges, canals and surrounding islands.

Voted hot, great deal, pity there are no South West flights

Great price, 2 amazing cities, very very tempted. . . . . . .

Hot! If this was later in the year I would go for it.

Very tempting. What's the weather like in Rome & Venice late march?

how romantico

That's a pretty good deal that.

Don't fancy staying up the "Ars" hotel in Rome to be honest.
I suppose , "when in Rome........" right enough .

sounds like a fab deal n we love rome!!!! :-)

Great deal, though be warned that the "Venice" hotel is actually on the mainland in Mestre (a bit of a dump).

Great deal, was in Venice for new year and cost a lot more!! Heat added!

Went on a Euro Trip and Rome and Venice were both places i went too. This is a fantastic deal considering i probably spent more! Although i'm not suprised that the hotels are located around Mestre. It would be crazy expensive to live in a hotel on the island...

If only they'd thrown in a free babysitter to look after the 3 kids whilst away! So cold from me........ lol.

Only kidding. HOT deal.

Try being Scottish...

This is a brilliant deal! Bit of a cheeky ask but do you know if its possible for me to go on this deal on any days between May 29 - June 4th? I don't mind paying a bit extra to get the dates I need. Thanks!

Thanks, I will do now!

Shame 17th of feb is already all gone, only date I could manage.

available from Manchester at £239pp Depart on 2, 9 February; 2, 9, 30 March

Already gone for the Budapest deal yesterday, otherwise this seems great!

Cracking deal heat

Hotel Ambasciatori in Venice is a good location, although it's in Mestre.
There's some nice restaurants around that are cheaper than Venice itself.
This is also a convenient location to get to Venice.

Also I've found the train journey from south to north to be quite pleasant, it doesn't hit the coast line unfortunately though.

Thanks for posting OP

anyone wanna go with me lol

My thoughts exactly!

I actually went on this trip with this company back in July 2012. The Ars Hotel in Rome was really nice - but it is a fair from the centre. there is a bus just round the corner which is reasonably priced and drops you off in the center so actually it wasn't too bad. I went in July and the bus was hotel.

The train journey between the two is pretty straight forward and takes about 4 hours. Their trains are pretty nice and **** fast!

The Venice hotel is different from the original deal, but it is just round the corner. There is a nice restuarant if you look on trip advisor nearby which had lovely food. You have to get the bus on to the main island every day - these run i think until about 11pm. It crosses the bridge and drops you off at the top end of the main island - from there you can get the water taxi all round the place and its something like 3 euros for a ticket.

For the money - it was a great holiday!

visited Venice in the past and probably better staying at Mestre to save on the evening meals lol

sold out now feb - additional 60 per person to go in may.

I have a question about this.

What is the flight route back?

You fly into Rome then what? Back from Venice. I know that's the obvious answer :-)

I've been to the ARS, In fact we did this deal last year, but I got 3 nights in Venice for about the same price. It depends on the dates, so phone up to book. The ARS is quite a way out of Rome, a 15 minute bus from the centre. If I went again, I'd pay to be closer to the centre. We stayed in a hotel in mestre at the Venice leg so can't comment on that. At 179 it's a very decent deal though per person.

Tried to book the sales guy could hardly speak English.

Wow great deal

I also phoned and the times are horrible, you arrive to Rome something like 10PM, and on departure from Venice you have to catch the flight 7AM. Well sorry but this deal is not that good as you miss out two days out of 4. Except of course same guy with super strong accent suggested to pay something like £240 to get a TRUE 4 days vacation. Should state "From £179...
