In todaysSunday Mirror (29/08/10) there will be another of the £2 vouchers off 20 litres of Shell Fuelsave petrol or diesel.

The voucher is on page 28 and will expire on the 4th of September

It's not quite as good as the last offer as the Sunday Mirror is £1.00 not the 65p the spend that was needed before.

nice, any idea how long the voucher is valid for? is the fuelsave more expensive than regular fuel?

I don't know the expiry date yet and probably won't until tomorrow, as for price my local Shell is more or less the same as others around where I live.

Fuelsave is now the regular fuel.

Think the last voucher was valid until the following Friday so maybe this will be the same
Apparently the fuelsave is suppose to be more economical than their previous standard unleaded

My local shell garage would not accept the last voucher. I emailed Shell about it and this was the response : Some of the sites in the Shell network are managed and run by independent business
people. As such not all Shell forecourts have opted to participate.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Is it £2 every 20l or £2 for minimum 20l?

I need to top up (£109 worth) so this could come in handy

£107 instead

Not if you can be bothered to put in 20l at a time

According to most taxi drivers and mechanics i know (and i know quite a few), Shell diesel and Total diesel are probably the best out there. Also, if you use Shell V-power it really has an impact on the performance of the car. We're not talking fiat to ferrari but you should notice a little difference. Finally, better quality fuel has a very positive impact on the engine (due to its more lubricant like quality).

my car does not like this new fuel, there are other people showing problems running the diesel on some forums

I've been filling up with this new stuff for a few weeks now and there does seem to be a difference in the tank lasting longer.

Never really seen why these deals get so hot.

Basically you are paying £1 to save £2 right? So this is in essence saving you £1, unless you already get the paper then it really doesn't seem that great, if someone posted a deal for a DVD that was £19.99 and if you go to a different store, buy a different item, then go to the dvd store and hand over that item you would get the dvd for £18.99 no one would vote it hot, this is the same thing surely?

£2 off 20 litres = 10p off per litre.

Shell Fuelsave promises a saving of 1 litre per tank.

"*Based on a minimum tank size and fill up of 50 litres. Comparison between a standard gasoline and that same standard gasoline containing our instantaneous fuel economy formula. Actual savings may vary according to vehicle, driving conditions and driving style."

So if I bought 20 litres and the Sunday Mirror costs £1 how much better off am I?

Sounds like an o-level maths exam.

You are £1 better off, no matter how you look at it lol
You can still buy Shell Fuelsave without the voucher so the voucher itself is just saving you £1
