Great price for two of them Always carry a couple with me on my bike rides. Much quicker than repairing them
This has just reminded me.......me and my older brother got Raleigh Choppers for Christmas in the 70's but my mam and dad could only get hold of the red ones......they looked identical but mine was faulty...it always got punctures for some reason....?
Sounds like the rim tape wasn't seated properly. Then again, you would likely notice that when you sorted the punctures out. Maybe the rim tape was just crap.
If it's too thin, the edges of the holes may cause punctures but normally this is because they're not properly covered. (edited)
No 20 or 16 inch tubes FYI. Thanks anyway OP, the multi tool and water proof trousers look interesting.
These are the sizes

I have 700x35C tyres (35-622) presta.
The only presta ones they had in lidl are marked as 27/29"
The box says: 40/62-584/635 * 27/29" (685/726 mm)
It lists tyre pressures but the lowest in 622 is 40-622 (up to 62-622)
Are these right for my tyres? Probably a bit too fat for my tyres?
The had ones marked for 28". 28/47-622/635 * 28" but only in schrader/woods
I think I get it now. The 27/29" ones are 40-584 to 62-584 or 40-635 to 62-635 (or 40-622 to 62-622)
The 28" are 28-622 to 47-622 or 28-635 to 47-635
Not sure why they don't have presta in 28", which I assume would be the most common. Or why they don't write a bit more on the boxes (edited)
