2 pair of specs from £15 delivered at Glasses Direct

30
Found 3rd Jan
If you use code MSEJAN15 on top of an existing Glasses Direct offer before 11.59pm on Mon 8 Jan, you can get two pairs of prescription glasses for £15 delivered.

Here's what to do:

1. 2for1 on prescription glasses £49 or over. Glasses Direct has a range of frames priced from £49, which are currently on a 2for1 offer*, so you get the cheapest free. Once you pick your frames (Boutique frames are excluded), you'll be asked to choose your lens package. If you don't want any extras such as scratch-resistant coatings, you can avoid the extra costs by clicking on 'continue with basic lenses'.

2. Code gets £34 off and free delivery. After adding the second pair to your basket, you can either enter your prescription or opt to send it later. Then, use the code MSEJAN15 at the checkout by 11.59pm on Mon 8 Jan to get an extra £34 off ANY glasses where individual frames cost £49 or more (before the 2for1 discount). It's not valid when you spend £49 or more on several cheaper frames. Delivery is free with the code (normally £3.95).

Combining these offers could get you two pairs of glasses for just £15, plus free delivery. What's more, the second pair doesn't have to be the same prescription as the first, so you could get one for yourself and one for someone else.

It's worth noting that if you need bifocal lenses you'll have to pay an extra £30, and it's an extra £49 for varifocals.

This deal won't work on very strong prescriptions

Orders for very strong prescriptions are excluded, such as when the combined SPH and CYL is greater than +/-8.00, when the CYL is over +/-4.00, if there is more than a 5.00D difference between each eye or if the prism correction is over 4.00 in any direction.

Hurrah! Voucher time again. I always have a few things stored in my favourites, waiting for the discount. Quick look to see if any sale items to mix and match. Cheers.

Been browsing their range after receiving the mse email this morning.
Notice they do free home trial though - has anyone used that before? Seems like a good idea and would like to use it but then the mse deal will have expired
Also I notice it says free returns but when you go to t&c it says you should obtain a proof of postage from post office ... Can anyone clarify

Chill. Hotuk should be about sharing good deals so other people can take advantage. What's the point in seeing the deal somewhere else and not sharing it only because someone else has found it.

Many of their models are glassesdirect stables, so will be on sale the next time a code pops up, which is several times a year. So, try a home trial of a few frames, if you like them, add them to your fav list, wait for the next code. The code though might be for £15/19/frames+free tints. Also, when expensive frames are on temporary sale, mix/match with cheap frames and discount code. And frames you like, sometimes order again as summer tints when the code permits.
You'd have to be a mug to not take any of the coatings, honestly did that in the past to save money and it's really not worth it.

Scratch resist - even with care cheap lenses without this coating will scratch really easily

Anti reflective - I can't go without this otherwise you easily end up seeing your own eyeball reflected

I certainly wouldn't be without those 2 regardless. I got a pair of full rimless with all coatings & reactions coating for £20 and I've never come across a similar offer since sadly but these glasses are still going strong, no scratches, tint still reacts and they were shipped from Pakistan within 10 days of ordering I think.

That was goggles4u I think. But anyway if you want to go for it just bear in mind that you may miss those coatings & they're worth paying for

Yeah but had MSE not told them the op wouldn't have told you PLUS mse email will probably contain affiliate links so they get a referral for the discount link (I'm guessing).

I'm not saying should or shouldn't just highlighting the above
Are Thier glasses just for people who use them sometimes or for only certain activities. I use mines all day. Just bc on specky4eyes it gives you an option if you use them all day but I'm this site it only asks if they are for near or distance etc like driving

I always go for the basic lens without any coatings. Never had any problems, nor scratches. But there again, I never throw my glasses around.

Normal glasses for normal people, ie those of us with the usual abnormal eyesight.

Wait for the voucher that also includes free tints, then you could get 2 pairs if you like.
thnx
Brilliant company. 30 day free returns. I did this last year with an MSE voucher (2 pair for £17). I inadvertently entered incorrect prescription details on one pair, totally my fault. Called them and was told it wasn't a problem. The lady confirmed the correct prescription and asked me to return the incorrect ones free of charge. The replacement pair were given priority and arrived a few days later. Awesome service.
As i only use them for reading, i keep one pair in the living room and one beside my bed. I've ordered two more, one for the kitchen and a spare pair to keep in the car.
They also store your prescription on your account making reordering simple.
Thanks for this. Very nice deal , would've missed it if you hadn't posted.
Could I process 2 different orders so all in 4 for £30 ?

Different orders, same code, go for it. I've done that in the past as well.

yeah i've used specky4eyes in the past & they usually take ages which doesnt really bother me as never in a rush for them & they have great comms & end result is good. First time using glasses direct so added bonus if they come promptly!
Used this code from Money Saving Expert Website. Worked perfectly. Ordered 2 pairs on Saturday to have as spares, and they arrived in the post on Thursday, quicker than ordering at my local opticians. I was kept updated daily with an email about progress. Very good sturdy glasses, they look nice too, and they also sent me some vouchers for sunglasses and further orders. Is it any wonder this company is doing well, their customer service is excellent. Highly recommended.
