2 PAIRS REAL LEATHER HAND STITCHED OXFORD SHOES (BOGOF) - £44.99 @ Clifford James

Never bought from Clifford James before but these look good quality for the price.

Leather uppers and hand stitched leather soles.

You can mix the BOGOF options so I got a pair of brown Oxfords and a pair of smart looking black Brogues.

£4.95 postage to mainland UK (and a bit more to us poor folk in Norn Iron) but you can use discount code CJWBAB1 to get £5 off so they work out as just under £44.99 for 2 pairs.

I've fallen for this - leather's like cardboard and didn't last, nasty :-(

Oh dear. Thanks for the heads up. They sounded good on paper.... Already ordered and they will still be an upgrade on the cheap Asos clearance disgrace I am currently wearing into ground!
Bought two pairs of these before. Have served me well, over two years for each pair

Thanks. Ordered.
Typical, poor quality fancy name shoes that are marketed in full page ads in various newspapers.
looks a bargain

ok for school shoes as well for older boys
Old fashioned, reputable-sounding name : check
Naff free gift : check
Too-good-to-say-no promotion : check

The only thing left from the list for a full house is "crap quality product" - you can report back on that OP!
They are not very good. not waterproof .
Tried these before. Honestly, don't bother. so stiff, it's like walking in clogs

Seriously, do not bother. Is this a good deal for some absolutely. Is it a good deal for good quality shoes. Not at all. Tough leather that's been badly sprayed. Go for a pair of barkers or loakes. Try their factory stores in Northampton. Much more expensive but worth it
I bought a pair of these and promptly returned them. Really stiff, unyielding, blister making uppers. And they had a pungent chemical smell, a bit like petrol. So these are a bargain if you like smelly feet covered in blisters.

Thanks for all the feedback. I don't want anyone to buy and be disappointed.

I'll let everyone know my own thoughts when they arrive. If I can wear them without cutting my feet to tatters I'll be happy enough given the price.

Just to update anyone who might be interested - I have worn the shoes and they are comfortable and did not cut my feet at all so very happy. In comparison to similar shoes bought in Zara they are much more comfortable and the area at the side doesn't cut into my ankle at all. Can't comment on how long the will last but look good for the money and the sole is leather and stitched on so think it's worth it.
where are these made in? Won't buy if it's china.

They have a factory outlet in Skelmersdale which is in England.
