According to their website, there's only been 23 rainy days so far this year...

And I think I'd rather go one day when it's not raining anyway.

As a family, we used to do so many day trips to theme parks, seaside, stately homes, etc. With the cost of fuel so high now and the recession, all these tourist attractions must be suffering so badly with reduced catchment areas. It leaves me wondering if all that QE money p155ed away to the banks would have been better spent cutting fuel duty to a level where petrol & diesel are less than 90p a litre again...

Haha I think you may be in the minority. The theme parks are still packed every time I go. Chessington is the worst of the merlin group, only a couple of good rides and always breaking down or closed.

Haha? Such compassion. Makes you look a right smug git (which I'm sure you are not). Perhaps you live closer to Chessington/Legoland/Thorpe Park and have a season pass. I was referring to reduced catchment areas. There are plenty of BOGOF offers this year, revenues must be down. Try adding £60 of fuel to the cost of entry every time you visit.
