Kayak...Hartlepool...hmmm...Panama!
Happened to go kayaking at a reservoir during the really hot August bank holiday weekend and was fascinated to sit and watch the numerous inflatable kayaks being used. There seemed to be 2 popular choices - this one from Lidl and various Itiwit ones which I think are around £200 from Decathlon. I have to say this Lidl one isn't worth even £20. It was comical watching people trying to get on it and stay afloat. It is nothing more than an inflatable toy. One adult sat on it and the front and back were pointing up in the air. The Itiwit ones however looked really good and I would definitely consider one of those. You get what you pay for with inflatable kayaks!

Lidl’s kayak, is suitable for two people and can hold up to 160kg.

80kg per person? Seems optimistic. 😏
Scrap.

1. If is one adult about 100kg, then fold like scissor.

2. Two children - together 100kg - is ok, but... Is only one oars.

Doesn't matter how cheap, if is unusable.

This is my personal opinion, but if you think about play 1 adult, 1 children, you have kayak like V shape and children high over water.

Who said it is unusable
I have this kayak last summer. Trust me, is not to use.
I wonder if I could make it to Panama

What

sorry, that was meant to be directed at dona3853 and mcexpertss
Does this one comes with free helicopter ride?
If this rain doesnt stop I might need this.
I had this.
I was extremely careful with it and it still developed two small punctures along seals that I was unable to mend. It then got eaten by a friend's robot lawn mower, but that's another story.
Inflatable Kayaks are great fun and easy to transport, but I think my budget next time will be around the £200 mark.
This isn't a bad deal but I got a kayak for £14.99 from Aldi and have been on Lake Windermere with it. You do get what you pay for but I think reading the comments that their kayak didn't have enough air... Ours was quite steady. I only weight 65kg and took child around 30kg so wasn't an issue. Try also for wetsuits too. Sorry I know this isn't about Aldi but paid £7.50 for a short wetsuit... Who can grumble even if its only used a couple of times

As seen on Saving lives at sea. Those life boat boys and girls are heros, but should be more careful when retrieving the inflatables, they always seem to rip them.

You haven't been on the streets lately then...
These are aweful. My sister bought one and was terrified of capsizing, it was so unstable. Just don't bother.

I’ve got one of those itwit /decathlon kayaks. . Well designed and constructed and as good as it gets without spending silly money. This Lidl one looks trash.

Aah, you got me. Well played. You win the internet tonight.

You are surely the first angry young man to vent their impotent frustrations by going online and insulting strangers. Feel good about yourself.
Selling lots in Calais!!
I don't think this kayak has a skeg which will make it almost impossible to steer in the direction you want it to go and makes it more of a toy than a kayak. Maybe ok for a swimming pool but not much else.
Edited by: "Robbo11" 2nd Oct
Is this still in stock? I don't want to miss the boat on this one!!
Out of stock in Calais
A friend bought this a few months back. He told me he only used it once and has no plans to use it again.

Oh I see you're one of those trolls
Get yourself a Intex k2 explorer instead. Costs around £90 and in my opinion is one of the best inflatable kayaks on the market. Had mine for three years and still going strong.
