Nice and light. Comes with fixing kit to attach to your hatch or just use it as a small ladder.
Online and in store.

Just seen that was previously a cyber Monday deal. Back in stock as I got it this morning in Coleraine.
Got one of these. Bit flimsy but it does the job.

Can you recommend something stronger please?
thanks for this, I tried to get it when it came about last time but they had no stock but I have just ordered.
Ordered. One of those things you a
Need but always find something else to get instead, but for £30 they're cheap enough and will do the job.

No because I only have one loft and hence one loft ladder. In my previous house though, I had a three part one which was more robust. The pole you use to pull it down or push it up with bent on first use too. If you're going to be up and down all the time it might be worth looking for something sturdier but at £33 it is fine to getup every now and then
My hatch is 38 x 68. What is this? Can't find dimensions

I can recommend a wooden loft ladder. Makes it miles easier to access the loft and turns it into properly useable space. Put in the widest ladder that you can

Says hatch min size 38x49, it is in the images on the product page.
I just installed one of these last week and it's fine for occasional use. The instructions that come with it are easy enough to follow. The ladders lock into the open and closed position with a reassuring click and they stow away nicely.
You need a loft for this. Please think before posting. Cold!
It's a ladder. Why would you need a loft?
Used for years and this is the standard price
I've had this for a few years. As above, easy to install, a little bit flimsy, I weight 105kg and sometimes I feel a bit wary on it but for what you pay it is better than getting a ladder up every time! Moving soon and will be getting a proper loft ladder installed in the new place.

Loft ladders are not safe to use by them self’s. They rely on the weight at top being supported, locking hinges are not strong enough to use by themselves. This is told from experience of one collapsing as was used as normal ladder

Fair enough.Thanks for the info.
would love to able to have one of these, but gas engineers ran a gas pipe right across where the ladder would stow! grrrrrrr

Got a £5 off £25 spend voucher as well
Wooden loft ladders are much safer & stronger put cost a lot more, metal builders ladders are safe but not cheap
Posted before and there was a code on here for 10% as well.
If just using to put the decs this is good enough but if using your loft to store more than that and need good easy access then a wood one is the best. Using an aluminium one at the moment shifting 90 years of muck and lifting a fully boarded up floor with hundreds of pieces of nailed floorboard. Having delivered a wooden one for £85 to make life a little bit easier.. ebay.co.uk/itm…28233368714-KxNry.jpg
6% discount for me
Can this be used for external work at all?

Do wooden ladders usually state max weight limits? Any idea what the limit is for one you linked to? They also seem to do a handrail version for a couple more pounds.
Might be useful for some... I gave up buying the stuff which i dont really need. Enjoy.
