I saw they had fresh pies for £1 each. However I then found in the freezer a twin pack for £1.25. A good deal.

Neigh

and they're off

This is just the start of the processed meat reductions. Bet this kind of product will be pennies shortly. Having said that I do like these so has some microwave heat

Worst pies I have ever tasted. Utter rubbish!

You could both be right, the fresh Pukka pies seem OK, but the frozen ones seem awful, unfortunately, these are the frozen ones.

I guess I am like many others at the moment. The thought of eating processed meat is just unpleasant . Its fresh unprocessed meat for me from now on.

pukka cannot be anything but pukka. hot

Gorgeous pies ready in under 4 minutes!

Thanks, heat to my pies.

These always seem to be £1 each fresh in my local Asda.

The microwaveable pies are horrible compared to the oven Pukka pies in my opinion. I tried the microwave ones and didn't like them. Would not buy them again.

Love pukka pies.

Are the frozen pies much different then? I often get the fresh/chilled pies and freeze them anyway is that not what pukka have done?

Why would anyone want to microwave their food, let alone pies - which are best with a crispy outside. Nothing worse than eating soggy food like pies or pizza that have been nuked. I worry for people's health when I read some of the comments on here.

As for these pies, they're not that good. I'd even go so far as to say Birdseye chicken pies are better.

In any case, what with the scandal from horses lately, I'm glad at least 95% of my food I eat is fresh. I know what I'm getting.

The pukka pies that are frozen have a shortcrust pastry. They haven't got quite as much filling but they'd taste perfectly fine for 62.5p a pie. I'll stick to the £1 normal ones, but ok if you want 2, or like shortcrust pastry.

Well I've never eaten much ready-made food, but the waste of food going on with the horse meat scandal is just wrong. Agreed, they shouldn't put horse meat in beef pies, but it doesn't make them dangerous and for the tip.

Looking forward to eating very cheaply if they do decide to sell it all off!

Thanks Tomwatts I'm not such a fan of shortcrust but the £1 normal pies are a great price I only buy them when they are a £1,they mustbe quite pricey these days when you buy them from a fish and chip shop

These are vile
Stick with the fresh

Chip shop round the corner from where I am offers £2.49 Steak and Kidney Pukka Pie and Chips. (50p extra for a can). How they survive I don't know.

EDIT - Not a poor place either, Gloucester Road, Bristol.
