Has anyone used this and recommend them
Are there any restrictions on ceiling hatch size to fit this?
I have this one, its not that sturdy, wish Id spent a bit more for a better one.
When does the code expire? Thinking of getting the £60 one but need to wait to pay day first!
maybe a stupid question - but does anyone have any idea where I can buy a loft hatch pole?

Moved house last year and due to high ceilings I have to get step ladders out to open loft hatch and be able to reach the loft ladder and pull it down.

For some reason I just can't find anywhere that sells these without having to buy the whole ladder assembly too (which seems like a massive waste)
Loft hook & broomstick?

Can you buy a broom handle and screw a hook into the end of it?
Broom/Hook I have tried something like that but the ladder is quite stiff and it didn't last long

hence why I started looking for a proper pole/hook but seems like they don't exist so I will have to have an attempt no. 2 and build something a bit sturdier!

Window hook?

screwfix.com/p/f…Cpw
No hand rail so it’s cold from me
Thanks OP!
How competent do you have to be to fit this ladder?

I recently got one from LIDL and i read the instructions and it was like so difficult
And probably have taken me like 1 whole day to fit

There were so many screws parts etc
So i decided to return it in the end

My loft opens upwards anyway so i would need to change that to begin with

How hard is this ladder to put together?

Yes will give something like this a go - hopefully small enough to fit the hatch "twist lock" groove that needs to be opened before the hatch will drop...

Seen as this only goes to 2.69m I’m going to go with a no.
