So when is the discount day?

Ah 25th and 26th - cheers - looks good

For what its worth, these are Abru ladders. They are the same as the ones B and Q sell but with different branding on the packet. Abru put the homebase/focus/b and q packaging together themselves.

Would this work as a normal ladder as I am desperate for a real ladder but they are so expensive!

Very tempted. I shall have to look tomorrow.

Synergie, where are you? You can have my multi ladder and platform for free. It's too cumbersome for my needs but might suit you.

totally agree with you i desperately need a ladder but cannot justify buying one when i need other things

dont know why ladders are that expensive really there isnt much to them

Been looking for one of those, thanks.

That's awesome, been looking for one of those, thanks!!

theres one like this in makro too. £25 i think, plus vat.
looks identical.
which one to get!! lol

is this nationwide guys?

REALLY want one of these for our loft instead of risking my life balancing on the handrail of my step ladder every time i wanna go in the loft :w00t:

does the 10% day finish tomorrow? probs wouldnt be able to get there till monday

Also, do i need to fit this to the loft hatch or something?

I would also like to know if this can be used as a normal ladder?

thank you

I'd also appreciate some feedback on these.

Currently, my loft hatch opens up INTO the loft, rather than down FROM the loft as shown in the pic. How easy is it to install these?

Loft not included.

You need to rehinge your loft hatch - cut it down to size and then attach hinges. I'm pretty sure all the hinges and fixings will be included to do this but it is quite a job. If you don't cut your hatch entrance tightly to size you can end up with a drafty loft hatch as well. This isn't a 10 minute job!

We rent but need a ladder for the lofr. Our hatch is one of those ones that you push up into the loft and then can remove completely whilst in the loft. I assume we cant use this ladder then going by the last comment? Without mods

snap, shame
hate getting up there with the steps, terrifying

it says it is 32 cm wide. Thats barely big enough for 2 feet in shoes!.

Is that a mistake.

bit put off by the 13stone guy who says it struggles with his weight, what if the fella died, fell of and down the stairs?

He wouldn't know that he has fallen off the ladder and down the stairs, if he does it in that order.

Excellent

Purchased one of these this morning and fitted it. Took about 1h30 to fit and did require rehinging of loft hatch so it opens downwards (all parts included.) The ladder is clearly of the cheaper variety but takes my 6'2 14st frame fine and my size 12 feet fit fine on the rungs. The instructions were also surprisingly clear and user friendly.

One thing to be aware of with loft ladders is that they reduce the usable area of the loft hatch. If you put a big box up in the loft and then fit the ladder you may not be able to get the big box back down without removing the ladder!

just opened mine, came with loft pole, hinges, and loft hatch lock, so good bargain.

Bumph states 23.5 stone as maximum safe working load.

Didn't have any in my store but they have ordered me one, still at the reduced price, and i bought some tile adhesive to take it over £30 and got the 10% off card too, thanks again op

Thanks OP - perfect timing as our ancient loft ladder packed up on Thursday. Grabbed one from the Worsley store. H&R added. Next challenge is going to be fitting it.......!

We bought loft ladders about 15 years ago. My husband opened them took one look at the instructions told me that our "Hatch" into the loft had to be modified (a bigger job than what he thought it would be to fit) and that was the end of that. They are still in the wrapper in our loft. I am sure we paid over £100 for them at the time.
