Ask them to turn it down a bit.

Looks to be the same price everywhere for this deal having had an email from Richer Sounds earlier

The richer sounds deal is cold. Why is this one getting heat? Have I missed something?

Although the sound and build quality may be very good, I could not justify myself spending that amount of money on speakers, much as I would like to though!

Its a standard price for a 2 piece kit. Same price on Amazon & others.voted cold.

They are promoting this as two separate rooms, far better to create a stereo pair. If the budget allows, get a playbar and sub, the neighbours will hate you!

The offer is also available from Richer Sounds with 2 years warrenty

Would love the playbar and sub, but is a bit pricey for me at the moment. I noticed this the other day and wish I had the pennies

Here's what the audio nerds at AVS forum think of it: avsforum.com/for…787

Think they missed a trick with not installing an analogue input on this version. I wanted to create a stereo pair for my office and have them as PC speakers too; I could then have move the Connect I have in here elsewhere in the house and ditched the old PC speakers I have.

As stated elsewhere buy from Amazon Spain at approx £254 for the pair, sale warranty etc. pick up the genuine UK sonos power lead for a fiver or use a cheap adapter instead.

I posted this deal last night ( Richer Sounds ) and it's cold..this is a duplicate!..so is hot...?..

Maybe in the night people voting whith their eyes closed..:)))

Eur349 on Sonos website and Amazon.es so approx Gbp249 equivalent at today's rate. Even with the Gbp10 for 2 cables still a lot cheaper.

Pretty meh deal

Only issue there is would invalidate the warranty (although I guess you could always 'emergency' purchase a genuine UK one if/when that occurred), for the sake of a fiver I just bought the new UK plug/lead

Just went for this deal as they have a 100 day return policy on the official website. Can test the speakers out and see what they're like and simply return if they turn out to be awful / find a better deal.

There is a two year warranty when purchased from any authorised dealer.

Also - to merely call these 'speakers' is a bit misleading. Speakers traditionally need to be connected to an amplifier. These work standalone. They are the speaker, amplifier, and internet connected music streamer all in one unit. If you have ever used one, you will agree they are excellent in build quality and ease of use. Just check the second hand prices on eBay - they command a similar premium as Apple devices.

I have a play:1 and I'm considering this so I can have one in the bedroom, one in the lounge and one in the kitchen then i can have the same or different things playing on them! Great system

Is cashback available from any of the uk sellers?

Or you could set two up as a stereo pair.

Thanks for posting ..hot

It's the playbar cost that is stopping me going sonos, was going to buy the Samsung ones but my girlfriend says they are too ugly :-\

This is a good deal although I suspect it may just become the new price now that there is some decent competition around from LG\samsung\bose

Just bought these literally half an hour ago at PC World. Added to my Play 5, sound is absolutely amazing!

It'll be money well spent. Two of these when paired together produces fantastic, rich and deep sound. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I reckon you ought to give them a try, and if you don't fancy them after listening to them, you can always return them.

Just a quick warning to anyone thinking about these:

Currently *NO* BBC radio sport commentary will play on Sonos products, and the BBC radio feeds in general are very poor quality, due to the BBC messing things up.

It's not the fault of Sonos. The BBC have completely f-ed up their internet radio feeds and say they will eventually fix the problem.. but it's been months and there is no solution currently even being thought about from the BBC.

Regardless of whose fault it is, if (like me) you intend to use your Sonos to play BBC radio, THINK VERY CAREFULLY.

I currently have almost £1000 worth of Sonos kit which now sees less use than my phone.

For streaming music from my server, or Spotify they are exceptional, but as it stands at the moment I wouldn't buy Sonos.

Added heat. Love my Sonos systems, sound great, easy to use, but still over priced.:(

It's annoying that they're not compatible with iTunes

Where do you get the Genuine UK power cables from? Had a quick Google but can't find anything.

Works for me:Sonos & iTunes

Its the simplicity of the Sonos app that makes this such a great system. Everything from my pc/google play/spotify/soundcloud/tune-in radio accounts all available from your phone / ipad / pc at your fingertips with different tunes in different rooms ( if your missus isnt digging the latest Berlin techno or whatevers your bag).
I love music, and this system just took accessibilty and exploring new music to a whole new level for me. No regrets on buying this at all.

I don't have a single issue with any of the BBC radio feeds through tunein, including sports. Don't know what you're on about.

I have everything SONOS sell make apart from these!

SONOS stuff is well built and sounds great so can recommend. These dont have many options for inputs but would be ideal for a small room or to compliment the playbar and sub in a 5.1 system.

Overall it does make it more expensive than a traditional speaker but they are a lot less hassle and the app is pretty great.

I use mine for BBC radio with no issues. Are you using the tune in app within the SONOS app?

Only tried a few radio stations to be fair but radio 1 always works for me

They sell very well but i think some people buy them without knowing all their issues.
You cant use them unless you have a premium membership for spotify, napster etc.
No bluetooth.
65k track limit.
No streaming of youtube.
No line in.
No streaming of skygo.

I dont understand why a speaker has these limitations.

Got a few from Amazon.es - Play 5 lasted a few months and then died. Was replaced by Sonos UK for free with minimal hassle

That isn't entirely correct, I've had Sonos for years and don't have a membership to any music service. Everything sits on my NAS drive so I don't need to be on Napster etc, and I don't need bluetooth either.

If you have a decent digital music collection, or you want to listen to digitial radio stations there is nothing to better Sonos.

Youtube and Skygo are video services, why would you want to stream them over Sonos????
