Popped in the ALDI to buy some bread and came out with some axle stands

Couldn't resist at the price. Originally reduced to £8.99, now £6.99!

Seem reasonable quality.

Well sorry for missing the small greyed out text. Believe it or not I didn't pore over the listing.

I know they're fine for the job, I have a couple, just pointing out you can buy a hockey puck for £2.50 and spend 5 minutes with a hacksaw and chisel rather than £7

No sorry wrong again. You cannot buy ice hockey pucks delivered to your house for £2.50 and even if you could it would take a lot longer than 5 mins to cut them down and then you would have to buy a hacksaw therefore + £10.00 and a chisel another £5.00. The £7.00 is for 2 that do look well finished. Not hacked out as you suggest.
You would really go to all that trouble just to save a couple of pence!!
OK £2.65

If you've got or are getting a trolley jack and axle stands and the hand tools that you'll need for them to useful to you then you've probably got a hacksaw and a chisel or stanley knife.

If you're using 2 axle stands then you need 2 of these pads. So it's £5.30 v £14

What difference does it make how neat they are finished? It's a rubber pad.

Can't believe I'm having this discussion. Look mate, I'm just pointing out what they are and that people can get functionally the same thing cheaper. Chill.
