“Worst Hotel i have ever stayed in!!!!”
1 of 5 starsReviewed yesterday NEW
Me and my Husband booked this hotel only a couple of days before our trip for our honeymoon, we also took our son who is 3.
Who we booked with gave great reviews on this hotel for family and couples also advised us it was near to town and also next to a beach. When we were on the couch trip from the airport we starting getting a bit nervous when we realised how far away we were driving!! Then when we finally got the Sun Club it didn't look to bad. We went into reception asked to be checked in and to be honest we wasn't greeted with a happy receptionist, they were very rude and abrupt. We walked to our bungalow which we had paid extra to be in a superior, on our walk there I had to hold onto my sons hand the whole time as the foot paths and the roads were all broken and cracked (VERY DAMEROUS) we finally got to our room after what felt like a long walk apparently they say on there Ads that they will drive you to your room with a little golf buggy but we never got offered that and never saw it. Just the outside of the bungalow nearly made me cry as we were on our honeymoon I wanted it to be quite special. We got in and the walls were cracked, paint coming off every where, the table in the room was filthy!!! I wouldn't even sit on the bed as that was just a camp bed with horrible bedding. Our son was supposed to be sleeping on a sofa which wasn't even a pull out bed it was just a sofa with a very hard floor for him to fall onto. We were straight up to the reception to ask to be moved to another room if not then another hotel. The Woman and Man at the reception were rude!! Didn't care at all that I was in tears due to the rooms and whole experience being awful. They gave us keys to another room but it was exactly the same. The Sun Club wasn't going to do anything to make it better. Luckily I phoned the people who we booked the holiday with and they moved us to another hotel. So we finally enjoyed our Honeymoon as well as we could after that awful time.
The beach that was mentioned isn't a beach at all it is about 200 stairs down a cliff which leads you to a dead end. The stairs a very dangerous with no protection to falling over and down the cliff. The food was average not to bad to be honest, we spend most of our time there till we sorted everything out, the snacks in the time between lunch and dinner is just slices of pizza.
I'm not even going to go into any more about the bathroom as it was just as bad!!!

Stayed October 2013, travelled with family

Couch trip is real - it's a Dan Aykroyd movie. DAMEROUS? I think they just made that word up.
