I’ll take an average of 15 degrees centigrade any day as It will be a damn sight warmer then it will be in this country at that time

it'll be nippy in December in vegas, might be good to use as a base to explore around the area.

Its a bargain...cheaper than what ive just paid to go to portugal..very tempted
Nice but already booked Cyprus for then.
Last I heard, Las Vegas city has introduced a locally payable resort tax. I think $25. Beware

Nearly all hotels charge a resort charge the cost varies on the hotel itself they have done for quite a few years now

Edited to point out it’s the hotel that makes the decision for the resort charge not Las Vegas city themselves

3* in Vegas...I’m out.
Wouldn't stay there if it was free. For the cost of getting there and amount you'll spend, don't scrimp on the hotel cost in vegas. At least go with the MGM or something half decent.
Agree with other comments. If you're going to Vegas, don't scrimp on the hotel. The Stratosphere is not a great place to stay, and it's in a bad location too - away from all the fun.
Ideally you’d want a hotel in the centre of the strip. PH I stayed at was reasonably priced
Value for money try polo towers .just off strip.roof pool and full size rooms Inc lounge .fully equipped kitchen .Non casino hotel so a lot quieter and not a dump like most of the average priced casino hotel
That site also has the westgate for 536 (random dec 10-24 date) for anyone that might be considering the strat. The westgate is off strip (tho still closer to the proper strip - which is basically from the wynn down - than the strat) but it has the monorail station next to it which makes it massively more convenient than the strat for just about anything.

It also has excalibur for 633 which is prolly the best of the cheap end strip hotels.

Also, if youre staying for 14 nights you need to factor in $490 per room on top of the charges in resort fees at the strat or excal.

And be prepared to be cold, it hits 0 degrees in winter.

Don't post a Las Vegas deal on HUKD and wonder why I show up at your house naked.
Not really a great deal when you factor in

£330+ resort fee
can be very cold in December
poor location

Personally found the Stratosphere a great and fun place to stay a few years ago and perfectly located for the inexpensive Deuce buses that constantly run the length of the strip up to Fremont downtown.
Stratosphere is fine. Not crazy about the area around it. I prefer the South End of the strip so I don't need the bus. If you 'build' you own deal with Norwegian and Luxor/Excalibur or Flamingo on the North strip you can get the same price. It is cold at night ,but in the day the 15-20 Celsius is dry and sunny. Makes a difference!
Added Heat anyway - good deal.
NYE is Vegas must be insane!!
Yet still hits 300c
This site and their ‘magic’ 100 confuses the hell out of me.

Don't care how it comes about. IF IT'S PAYABLE, YOU NEED TO BE MADE AWARE OF THE CHARGE. If you were not warned clearly, stress clearly, you would have a strong case against the tour operator. Simon Calder and others have written on this

(and it's a city tax, not a hotel tax in Las Vegas)
I think your confusing the resort charge with sales tax

Resort charge is priced up and charged by the hotel themselves it has nothing to do with the city

The sales tax is enforced by the city but that applies to anything you buy in Las Vegas
