Title is a bit misleading. It suggests £14.96 for 2 cards when its actually £37.78 or £30 if you only want to buy 1 card (ignoring 20% off code).

I understood what the title meant but it would be clearer if it just said 2x 16GB cards = £xx

Original Poster

I have made some adjustments which I hope clarify the deal.

good find

Cracking price; but I can't find any reviews on Memory2Go cards; and all three of the reviews on that site look slightly dodgy - two don't mention the card and in the third you have some guy claiming you can get 130hours of HI DEF video on 16Gb!!!

There was a HUKD deal on Clasas 4 Memory2Go at Love Film before Christmas hotukdeals.com/ite…-fr but know one commented on how good the cards were...

Again - great price and thanks to the OP for posting the deal and discount code... BUT... in the absence of reviews I'd stick with the PNY at Play as ramnee sugests...

As well as the 20% off code there is 20% topcash. , even though their prices are a little hyped at times with a 40% total off they become quite competetive, just got a couple of 16 gb flash off there, (Integral 16GB Courier USB Flash Drive), for £38.48 and then 7.94 Topcash, (tracking), off, £30.65 for two 16 gb flash does not hurt my pocket as much! Thanks OP

can anyone recommend a good value micro sdhc card - 8GB class 4 or 6.

Cheers

and 20% quidco!

Hot hot hot!

Hmmm....got this message:

Because you came from a cashback site, you cannot use discount codes**

looks like you can't use topcash and quidco if you want to use the 20% off code!

And annoyingly I now can't break the link back to quidco so I can't use the code! I didn't know quidco sets up a permanent link with the website? I even tried rebooting.

20% + 20% doesn't quite equal 40% off technically ;-)

Technically you can't do it anyway!

Depends, some places still give you the cashback from the full amount, so sometimes it would.

Looks like a good deal. Thanks.

Got a few R4 cards with micro SD cards from zoombits - the 2gb and 4gb cards were fine, the 8gb card is dog slow.

just found this -
play.com are doing this for £16.78 - PNY 16GB Optima High Speed SD HC Card Endorsed By National Geographic (Electronics).

also there is no headache of buying two!!!!!!!!

Class 4 so not as fast as this class 6.

That's only a class 4 card, and it's £2 dearer so what's your point?

Ignore the deal bashers OP, this is a cracking deal for 2 16gb class 6 cards.

Well found, heat and rep !!! :-D

What's reliability of those? I never heard of this name before and quite reluctant to put pictures on it.

Banned

If you could do it, it depends on how the site reports the value of goods to quidco. That is, does it report value of goods bought before any vouchers, or the actual price paid after all vouchers have been taken into account.

Great deal

H&R added

If you peal the label off of these it should reveal who really makes them.

There is no way Memory2Go manufactures them so reliability wise they will be fine.

Great deal for class 6. I just bought a 16GB class 6 for £20 (But it's Verbatim, so I know it's good)

If not I would've ordered 2 of these today.

Gary, I'm not following your logic - How do you figure the will be reliable simply because Memory2Go won't be making them?

Because... PNY dont make theirs either, and people are saying they are reliable... there are only a handful of factories in the world that make SD cards... they all come from the same batches.

I have used a lot of SD cards and ive never seen one fail.

Benjimoron;7549414

The PNY has good reviews - no one has posted speed test results for either of these cards - but nothing guarantees the "Class 6" you get will be as fast as the PNY. The PNY is considerably cheaper if you only need one...

I don't know Memory2go as a manufacturer - if they're rebadging other companies stock I'd wonder why they were available cheap, surplus stock or manufacturing defects?

BUT - If I wanted 2 x 16Gb I'd give this deal a try...

PNY rebrand also!

gary_rip;7550832

PNY rebrand also!

Yep - I hadn't seen your earlier post - but although there are a limited number of manufacturing sources - they clearly manufacture cards to different standards. I guess I'm too much of a sceptic maybe?

As I posted originally - I don't find the 'reviews' on the deal page convincing which perhaps unfairly skewed my view on the deal.

Mix of extremes. I phoned my order through (cos of the quidco thing) and they seemed pretty efficient to me (and applied the online 20% off code) and also seemed normal! Not that it's any indication that the goods will turn up! We'll see.

Agree. It's not like cornflakes!

Thank you OP, my sister just bought a D5000 s these have come in very handy for her

I've used ZoomBits about 3 times now and ordered online through their website. I've bought blank DVD's, media and a few gadgets (radio controlled cars, helicopters etc).

Delivery takes about a week (I think it comes from Channel Islands or something) but so far not had any problems. I've used both discount codes and quidco in the same order and both have worked fine. Quidco tracks quite quick too, usually faster than Play.com when ordered around the same time.

Expired. 2 for £54.50 now (without discount). Was just putting an order through!

incorrect concerning reliability necessarily being "fine".

memory (ram, sd card etc) is produced by a certain number of factories, they then grade the memory and sell it off to other companies to rebrand. the test could comprise of speed or reliability, so even though these are class 6 (speed) reliability might be poor.

who knows though with these cards

These are more than likely supplied by just rams, they buy in bulk from all the major manufactures and do rebranding. They use there own name 'integral' but also supply play,Amazon's Bytestor, Jessops camera stores. The good news is you always get a direct from manufacture product. Integral offer 5 year warranty on their memory cards.

As for class depends on what you are using it for. A class 6 is great for camcorders but but the variable read write on a class 4 may be faster.

As for PNY they use Toshiba rebranded cards.

Yup, I can't it for that price either. Coupon works for me, but only gets it down to £40.

Crikey, I was in my local Curry's today and the had a 16GB Class 4 SDHC for £70! All locked up in a cabinet like they are bars of gold! At that price they are probably weight for weight more expensive than Gold!
