Please just get off here, oh and the internet. Whoever takes into that "Oh you have to spend £50 on a HDMI cable" is clearly just a gullible idiot. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CHEAP £1 HDMI CABLE AND A £50 ONE. It's all a load of old horses**t. The only difference would be quality of cable, neither will provide you with better results.

Someone took the bait

Seriously though, the slightly better cables which are properly certified can be better than the ultra cheap ones with pretend gold coating that comes off after a couple of insertions but as above, generally it will work perfectly for shorter distances. Certainly for longer runs I'd make sure I bought from a reputable manufacturer who uses properly specified cables with the correct number of twists, capacitance etc etc. Spending £50 on a short HDMI cable is just stupid though and 95% of the cheap ones will suffice for every day use.
i got mine yesterday and and v fast delivery too.

Doesn't the gold plated heads make a difference, which are normally more expenses in price then these

The gold ones will make a slight difference, only thing being better conductivity and non-rust. Even so, these are gold.
Silver, Copper, Gold, Aluminium.
Order of best conductivity in metals, so why not use silver & be done with different types....

My hdmi has silver connectors....

(_;)
The 1s and 0s don't enjoy their journey to the TV in one of these as much as in a more expensive cable.

EliTom
Cheaper than pound land, great find!!

£50 hdmi vs £1 hdmi = no difference, except built quality and aesthetics.
There arent not much of a different from £1 to a expensive one. As many of you who dont know, its just the connectivity on the gold plates or silver plates, if you have a poor connectivity, the gold one will a better choice. Look at the pins from cheap to expensive, they are the same..
Forgot to mention, i brought this cable from them before it came within 1day. And i use it for my panasonic 48" smart 3D tv no problem at all with with 3D or 2D
Thanks for sharing!
I bought it for no real reason haha. I don't need one so I guess 2 spares won't hurt.

Very simple, gold is about 75% as good a conductor as silver but does not tarnish any where near as easily so it will generally be a better material for plug/socket conector coating as it keeps it surfaces free and so it's ability to conduct is better overall (it also has the ability to be very, very thinly coated). Another good reason to not bother with silver in these aplications is that copper at about 5% cost is 97% as good as silver.
thanks
Cheers OP stocked up the shop
Better than pound shop
doesn't matter what colour of the rainbow the hdmi cable is. its as good as any hdmi cable.

"just bought a purple with yellow spots connector from Amazon for £1000. super fast delivery and I can stream 4826p MEGA ULTRA FAST HD quality hentai with ease."
I guess it's just another debate one HDMI cables thread. Least can we have a competition like Intel and AMD, or Apple and Android. Cheap HDMI vs overpriced HDMI is just bland as hell.

Only the ones currys sell you have built in anti virus. Lol
Seems a good deal. Just ordered. Always handy to have a spare HDMI cable as for some reason many gadgets don't bother to include them
Mine is brown colour it's 24k brown-****, trust me it's running HD quality on tv specially the **** channels
Bought but no idea why!
It really doesn't make a jot of difference having gold plating, the socket that it plugs in to will be nickel plated on virtually all appliances.
if silver is a better conductor than gold, why don't they use white gold, that looks silver (_;)
The only reason you should pay more than £3 for a HDMI cable is if you want to get a cable that is longer than 5 metres
Cheers OP ordered
£1.94 now
Are these 4k compatible anyone know?
My next tv will be 4k and thinking down the line here

Trust me, I know what I'm missing. My mate had a £50 one as he was bullied into buying one. Compared it to my £1 cable and there was NO difference. Seriously, there is no difference.

Don't feed the troll as they say. Say you aren't trolling, as other members have said there is no difference. End of story. I'm not wrong and clearly everyone else agrees. Even googling produces these results. You want to believe in all that gullible nonsense then be my guest. I'll stick to being in reality and saving my money from these greedy companies and flawed marketing campaigns that draw people in.
