sorry for the confusion guys I added the wrong link, have corrected the link now.

Voted hot. Has to be one of the best deals around for two 2TB drives.

£0.0337775 per GB (maths: 135.11/4000gb). If I remember the cheapest I have found GB's was about a 10'th of a penny cheaper at 3.2p/GB wish I could find that offer now. Don't get me wrong, its an awesome offer: heat added!

Will these fit and work with a Netgear ReadyNas 2150 box? Thanks

Mmmmmm as soon as i get some $$$!

Though I do wonder how many several days it will take to transfer all my stuff to this 5400rpm drive.

Anyone tried filling ones of these?

Take care if you have problems with the drive. I recently had a drive delivered from Scan, which was shown as faulty in the manufacturer's diagnostics program. To be on the safe side, I even used my camera to take photos of the error (DOS based program, so couldn't easily do a screenshot).
However, Scan told me they tested it as working, and charged 15gbp plus vat before the refund, even though I offered the photos as proof. I was told these would not be accepted, unless they showed the serial number of the drive. A problem when the manufacturer's tool doesn't show the serial number on the error screen.
In the process, I had two emails ignored before I resorted to calling them, and a promised email from a manager never arrived. I'm now attempting to get the full balance back via a chargeback. I won't be using them again.

Yes, I have them running in the same NAS. You need to run wdidle3 to disable the idle timer thingy (enabled by default). Else the drives attempt to spin down every 8 seconds and the LCC (load cycle count) increases dramatically. If you disable the idle mode they work normally.

good deal
i was already to order some 2tb drives this week but have been waiting (for months) for 3TB drives and seems WD made my day.
means i can have a 8 TB raid 5 setup and that makes me happy

Great buy, I bought 2 at the weekend - thought I was getting a bargain at £139 the pair!

Thanks for help, sorry to be a pain but how do you run wdidle3?

Should have returned it under the DSR then they can't charge you anything, haven't used Scan since they tried that crap on with me over some memory I tried the RAM in 5 different computers it worked in none and they then tried to tell me they tested it and was fine, I reported them to TS back then and haven't touched them since

Scan offer great delivery, but yes returns are a problem which they never admit to having. I have been lucky and I personally know of those who have not.

I order these when they were £156, so already £10 cheaper.

They work fine in a NAS or raid enclosure if you disable idle 3 mode.
