I find these so damned expensive for how long they last so really begrudge paying full whack for them, a pack of 2 for a quid is the cheapest I have seen in a long time, so time to stock up!

Next time I move I wont stand there thinking "I really like these recessed bulbs" I will think what a pain in the backside they are to keep changing!

35kw? That's pretty bright

Im an electrician , and you wouldnt find me paying £3.99 for two of these lamps . £0.50 is about right in this case . You need to widen your shopping net for better prices .

thanks. i will trust an expert

Agree with that, I got 25 of these for a tenner from Screwfix a while back.

good price for 35W , can always find cheap 50W s but 35 s are not so common and often dearer

You get the 50Watt GU10 halogen reflectors for 2 for 99p/1 quid at Tesco most of the time. Dont know how they compare to these though. 3.99 does seem expensive! maybe they have diamond outsides?

I find a roomful of 50w makes me feel like I am being interrogated, prefer something a bit softer when i am snuggling up on the sofa

Anyone know where I can get 20w gu10 at the right price.

we have LED ones which use a fraction of the power but give off less light

now if anyone can find LED gu10's at that price i'll be voting hot! They're so expensive. Any ideas where to buy decent outputting LEDs for a good price?

what about the low energy gu 10 you can get them for about £4 only 11 or 7 watt not as low as led but loads cheaper to run the halogen

the led ones you want are those with 3 led's and preferably warm white. not the ones studded with loads of weak led's. i have got the 3w ones before from ebay for about a fiver each, they come direct from china which scares some people but thats where they originate from anyway
