Reason for posting is 2 fold... Been looking for colour smart bulbs (e14 candles) for ages as I refuse to pay the Hue tax and noticed these on Amazon. Price seems good but hoping someone on here has some feedback before I purchase. Cheers

Looking for exactly this (colour, SES and candle) and these look a decent price. Does anyone know why these are cold ? Also can the Alexa app ( not just voice) set the colour. Any help appreciated.
Issue is, you can get the normal WiFi enables bulbs and simply attach an E14 adapter to them for much cheaoer.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Bought some adapters today, just thought that these could be used without the adapter and were also a good price. Any idea the best bulb then for the full fat ES for the same spec?

Yes you can but if you have slim fittings (i.e. around the bulb) in which a round bulb will not fit then that option is not possible. I have been looking for colour candle smart bulbs for ages and these are the only option that I have found that doesnt cost £49 a bulb (or £33 on the 3 for 2 Hue offers).
Just now seen ‘Bawoo’ ( another household name) bulbs for 16.66 on Amazon, anyone used those?

For people voting cold, please can you advise where I can get E14 SES Candle Shaped COLOUR Smart Bulbs from that work with Alexa that are either cheaper than these or similar cost but a better product. PLEASE NOTE: my lamp shades are slim and will not accept Round E27 or similar sized bulbs so an adapter is not an option.

The problem with that is then the bulbs sit higher in the lamp, and this can mean that the lighting effect of the shade is different, and if the lamp is low you get the bright light in your eyes from the bulb, not the shaded light.

They can be OK, but not always. So it's not always so simple.

unfortunately not...but this post will be buried on here as its too bloody cold so doubt you'll ever receive an answer. Theres quite a lot of E27 etc bulbs on Amazon for around £15-17 mark and will all be from China. I bought some miLight GU10 bulbs off gearbest which can be controlled by phone if you buy a hub but I went for the RF controller as didnt need the voice or phone control inconvenience but 3 bulbs and remote only cost £32 (the equivalent of 1 Hue GU10 bulb!).
This is this website in a nutshell unfortunately, people voting cold and out of the hundreds no-one has specified why, because helping someone is obviously not a option.

I can’t say for sure and I agree with what you’re saying. I think they are going cold because for ‘non brand’ smart bulbs they’re pretty expensive, my observation only however.
