Blurb:
The FakeTV visual intruder/burglar deterrent makes burglars think you are at home watching TV. The FakeTV simulates the appearance of an active Television Set and is fully portable and quick & easy to set up, simply place it near a window and its internal light sensor will automatically trigger the super bright multi-colour LED lights at dusk, simulating a working television set. The FakeTV is eco friendly using less power than a night light and is safer than leaving a television set running when no-one is at home. Statistics show that 90% of intruders will not enter a property they think is occupied. Real Burglars know that Real Televisions do not work on Timers!

FEATURES:
• Visual deterrent to intruders/burglars: giving the appearance that someone is at home watching TV
• Realistic TV programme simulation: completely unpredictable, no light or colour pattern repeats
• Simulates scene changes, light fades, light flickering, on-screen motion & colour changes
• Eco friendly - uses less power than a night light
• The built in computer controls its super bright multi-colour LED light output - equivalent to a typical 27" TV
• Light sensor automatically triggers the FakeTV at dusk
• Two settings: Dusk+4 hours and Dusk+7 hours
• Automatically turns on when dark outside (0.5 lux)
• Automatic shut-off at the switch selectable time

Fake Fake TV's?

lol

awful devices, looks nothing like having a tv on from the outside

They were selling a comparable item at lidls for a lot less a week or so ago and the Worthing store had them in the clearance basket 30% off.

Fake Fake TV's?

Yeah, but what if someone fakes those ones..

You could simply have the same effect using a everyday house hold appliance. The TV.

Alternatively you could write a note on the door and say we are in.

Better than finlux hitachi etc

Similar devices on ebay for £8-10

Still in my Lidl for under £15.00 I think. Not exactly sure on price, could have been a lot less.

And you can program that to turn on at dusk can you? How much does it cost to run?

You don't seem to have grasped the "saving money" part of this site, do you?

Can't afford a real TV so we switch this on imagine what its like. Amazing device!

Not sure why there are so many negatives on here, if it's not for you there is no need to vote cold....just don't vote.

I have one of these for my 82 year old father who still likes to go out at night & can confirm it gives him the added feeling of security that when he gets home he will not have been burgled.

These do have a similar look to having a TV on with the blinds/curtains closed & as they are basically just a block of coloured LED's they use very little power.

But you could sell the real tv for more money later so it's lifetime cost will be much lower than buying and selling one of these. Bit of a false economy i say.

But then you'd get burgled the next day. oO

I'll say again, You don't seem to have grasped the "saving money" part of this site, do you?

is this 1080p and how many hdmi ports?

I got my tv nicked watching one of these is actually more entertaining

Are the TV licencing people aware of this? Bet they are trying sooo hard to think of a reason why you must have a colour licence for this!

Why not just stay home instead and watch your real telly

Think you have to pay the bar stewards at TV licensing if you do.

The ones in Lidl were £7.99

My Fake TV came with a Fake TV licence ,so I'm legally ok .
I still cannot tune it in to the BBC channels though , must be faulty .
