The operative word being "MINI" .....

Cafe Worker: "How did you find your fish, Sir?"
Me: "I moved a pea and there it was."
It should be 2 pots of tea as last time I recall, a pot of tea from Morrisons, it filled one cup & half. Morrisons are tight wads for tea using their own red label ones.

Don't know about other branches but my local is terrible, the normal meals are small so god knows what the "mini" One's like, in a rush we ate there last week, wormish mash cold peas ice cold pot of gravy (pie was ok) they took gravy away to heat and we were still sat waiting 10 mins later, when we looked round at the lady at the till she said to the customer she was serving "sorry we're busy and It looks like iv got a complaint looking at me"
Cheap price for cheap basic food served cold by not very professional people
Avoid!

They're tiny so that they make the minuscule portions look small. Instead of microscopic.

Why doesn't the title reflect that it's "MINI"?

I believe it’s all from the freezer and fried.
Used to eat there on lunch breaks years ago and I don’t recall portions being as small as those reflected in the photos. Also the food was pretty decent

I once went and wanted to order mushy peas with my fish and chips and they said they had run out of mushy peas.

Which I found incredibly hard to comprehend when they literally had shelves full of them.

Went out so didn't see the tweet stating it is "Mini" as the newspaper source did not mention this. I've edited the title now
I dont know if the fish is from frozen or not but batter is definitely fresh, you can tell when it’s been served, is the bread and butter necessary , shall we call it 2 course meal

I've seen cafe workers raiding the frozen aisle for chips before.

No idea if that extends to all products but there we go.

Look for the refill notice, usually by cafe checkout
What you get won't look as nice as the picture.
Place will be rammed with OAP!
Not that good a deal rather Wetherspoon's Friday fish/chips

I went once and they had run out of sausages, best of it is they had them already cooked on the hot food counter in store but was told they couldnt use them or the ones in the chiller as they were different sausages

Crazy isn’t it. A supermarket restaurant running out of food
Do you only get one drink or do
You get one drink per meal? Just asking for
a friend.

How do you know? Do you work in Morrisons cafe and are threatening me if I go in you’ll make my meal doesn’t look as good as the photo?
we used to quite like the tea time deal when it was 2 for £7.50 with a drink but the prices have gone up and up that its cheaper to go to the local pub for their deals with drink than go to morrisons its a shame because the fish used to be nice

2nd thoughts, Morrisons own red label. No thanks. Where everythings got to be done proper. It has to be, Yorkshire Tea.
I'd rather go to the chippy and plate it up at home.
These will be the kids' meal fish portions. We went one day and wanted the F&C but they only had one full-sized fish so gave us two of these for the other one. That was a good deal!

They do offer a range of other hot and cold beverages
probably barely a hot meal let alone hot deal. not sure how this has made it here OP sorry, voted cold would rather hit the chippy for £7, split it with the mrs and stick the kettle on for naf all!

The fish is proper, i.e. fresh raw fish which we batter then fry

I have had disappointing f&c meal there a couple times. Peas were all dried out, chips over done n fish was playing hide n seek in the batter.....nothing like what they had on the picture
Used to regularly visit Morrison's cafes.

Then it became apparent that it was just going from bad to worse.

Might have just been the place I frequented but other people that I know we reporting the same problems.

Pity, because it was decent value when they got things right.
Sometimes marketing departments come close to telling the truth, and for once the hype printed on the side "The worlds best knife sharpener" is not far from reality.
Had fish n chips once from my local store.......NEVER AGAIN !
Seriously don’t get the fish & chips WITH bread & butter what’s that about? Kind of thing I would do at school when I was a 5yr old.

So you can make a chip or fish butty, so nice.

It's a shame when people consider certain things only for kids, live a little!
£10 is a terrible deal. My local will give you more than enough for two (more then what’s here), very nice fish and chips and it will be under £10. Why buy this rubbish?
