Noticed earlier that there is £60 off when buying two of the Lenovo Smart Clocks through Currys PC World.

When you first enter the code 'LEN2', this only takes £20 off. I spoke to customer services, however, and they agreed to honour the website price. Ultimately managed to get 2 of them for cheaper than buying one!

I wouldn't bother. It clearly says £20 off so be it.

It looks like £60 off on full price not on already discounted price.

I suspect so, or an error at the least. Customer service honoured it though for me.

Yes I think that’s what they mean, Currys haven’t really worded it right I feel like. I’m trying with live chat now to see if they’ll give the extra £40 off (although I see /agree with what you have said)

Username checks out.
Looks like some poor (dare i say it, misleading... ) wording. You are 'saving' £60 as each item is already discounted by £20, then a further £20 off using code (3x £20 = £60).

Whether it's intentional or not you could argue the point with Curry's CS like OP did.

On a side-note was really looking forward to this device but discounts on the Home (Nest) Hub kinda killed it for me. That said, if I still needed these I would be tempted to follow OP's example and take it up with CS.

Edit: Curiosity got the better of me and I went on chat to see if they'd honour. Surprisingly they did offer a retroactive refund if i placed an order at full price. So it does indeed seem to depend upon whom you speak to.

Worked for me! Just used live chat and they said it’s a known error but was more than happy to give me £40 refund once I had placed order! Thanks op!!

Where are you finding live chat?

It was a struggle, ended up on my pc and pressed help at the top right and then suddenly a live chat box appeared on bottom right.. took a while to find
Spoke to them and the done the deal £59.98
Called them 03445611234
Sales chat honoured for me also
You was lucky it seems just contacted customer service and they said it's a mistake and it's not happening basically

That's a shame, seems it's worked for others so glad I could help a few at least. Might be worth trying again with a different agent in case you get lucky,?
just called them on this number 0344 561 1234 and they are putting it through all ordered 2 for 1 penny less then shown on the site glad i have not bought the home mini the other day now
Would of rather had my google home hub that they cancelled
Looking at what they do they don’t seem that great for £60 each but for £30 each I think it’s decent deal for a smart alarm clock
Just worked for me cheers
Just called, the man said he'd call me back once he got the discount code :/
Thanks OP!
Got onto chat and adviser said I should purchase using code and he'll refund me £40. As I forgot to use the code, the adviser has now refunded me £60. I now have an email confirmation and a copy of chat to be on the safe side.

Where is the live chat?
I called them they said error on system wouldn't honor it

Where is the live chat?

It just showed up automatically on the page. During checkout, I was redirected to paypal and I panicked as chat disappeared but magically reappeared again after checkout complete and I was able to provide my order number for the refund

One I spoke to said you are getting £60 discount as they are already on discount with £20 off so you buy two saving £40 plus the code adds another £20 off...
Rang up and was told they were not doing anymore as it was an error always have to be quick on the trigger with this site
How do you enter the code on a mobile browser, can't see the option
Was told I'd got the last ones as phones were going mad. Thanks op
They stopped short of telling me to jog on lol
Same, contacted the live chat and the said they were told to no longer honour it.

Seems poor practice.

Not so much poor practice, just rubbish wording as it should say "the code saves £60 over the original price of £160"

Good for the people that got it, bit stupid on their part to honour a badly worded offer description.

No waiting for salty people that didn't get the deal and/or don't have it honoured...

"My manager has just had an email and we won't honour the deal"
Excellent. As described. Did it on messenger with a screenshot. Thanks op

Agreed. Just a shame that given the apparent volume of issues they haven't updated the website wording!
Dorian: I've been told by management I cannot honour the discount of £60
You: this its terrible service offering a deal and then not honouring it
Dorian: I agree

Imagine how many they could shift if they honoured it, they will just get stuck with them and then reduce the price in a month or so.

Gratz to anyone that got any.
Just spoke to 3 different people no one giving the £60 off. Total for 2 is £99.98
So its like the clock on your phone, but will fail in a powercut..
