Super... I can buy another 2 to go with the 2 I bought on yesterdays deal for £24 the pair! X)
At last. I can get rid of my thousands of remotes!!!! Well, stick them in the draw anyway! Thanks.

They also have the 650 there for £34.99

Does anyone know how many of these "one click" macros this allows you?

Would be great to ask it to play DVD and it changed the TV to the right source, turned on the amp and started the film on one click....... as well as numerous other linked functions.

It enables you todo multiple things at once at the click of the button e.g. turn on your TV, Sky box and speaker system all at once.

personally, wouldnt go near one without a screen as it must be a nightmare for determining which device is being controlled and also programming in rare controls that dont fit on the standard remote layout. screen one (Harmony 600) is often only a few quid more.

EDIT:- just noticed this is two remotes so a real bargain price (although still wouldnt buy one without a screen even at this price).

mumbojumbo

Why stop there? Spend £100 and £10 comes off the total.

Haha... Believe it or not I had spotted that. If it wasn't for the fact I received the tracking an hour ago for the other two, I might well have done so! X)

The 650 supports 5 though if you want more there is a way to do it. By a used 525 off ebay as these support up to 15 (- memory dependant), program that and then go to your account on the Harmony website plug in the 650 and upgrade your 525 to the 650, this will transfer all the setting from the 525 to the 650.
The only drawback is that if you delete any activity you will lose that place.

Then sell the 525.

My 650 has 11 on it.

Thanks for spending more of my money!!!!! LOL

Seriously though it's a great price for 2. That's the bedrooms sorted as I have the Harmony One for the lounge where the serious watching happens which I also bought on offer same site last year and a great remote. If these are even half as good I will be more than happy. Just needed standard up to 4 units type remotes for bedrooms as only 3 units to control and these fit the bill perfectly. Do not need screen macros just click and play.

Heat added

Dammit, I just bout a 700 for £54 - £44.90 is a pretty good deal for that one too - supports a decent number of devices and is rechargeable too...
great deal! resisted the last one but not sure i can resist this!

Only need one remote though, anyone spotted any other low cost items on the site?

Are you talking about macros or devices Barney?
guv

No it isn't.These 300i remotes don't have any macros.

apologies i wasn't aware the 300i was so limited...if that is the case then I'd avoid as it's the activities feature that makes the Harmony remotes useful!!

Guv you've confused me (yeah, I know) You asked how many one-click macros it does. Then you say to Uridium that these remotes don't do them in response to him saying it was a fundamental function in harmony's. Then csiman says it does 4 and you say you wish it did more?

Have I got the wrong end of the stick somewhere?
Anyway, fwiw, i read and mentioned in yesterdays thread that this model only supported one macro, so was no use to me.
Can't seem to find it now.

I bought the 700 with the screen. It's great, especially for my CCTV controller which I cannot buy a replacement remote for so I bought one of these to learn each of the buttons manually just in case it stopped working..

There's only one thing that put me off the 300 which is that the buttons don't light up which is a feature worth having.

No, I just don't want guv to think (if he does) that the 300i does 4 macros, which is what csiman seemed to infer earlier in the thread.
My free harmony one is awesome.

I bought a racing wheel from there back in 2008, but when I try to login it just says 'Enter a valid email address.'
dga

It does 4 macros.

Sure that's not 4 devices?

blog.testfreaks.com/rev…te/

I can only see one predefined activity button "Watch TV" and four devices buttons......

(Looking at that review even the Harmony remote config software looks more basic)

also takes off an extra £10 automatically if you spend £100+
Wish i had seen this before buying a new bog standard replacement Samsung remote for close the same price
Need a new remote for my nanna, so this means i get to keep a spare for me just in case. Great find
Must... not... buy....
