Stop tempting me with things I really don't need/have room for! :P (Have some heat all the same)
So tempted to bite - £89.10 for me with Samsung Employer Portal (worth checking if your company has an affiliation!)

Great find, deezer cost u £60, heat
Got this offer last week... they sound much better than the R3 I’ve owned. Can’t go wrong at £49.50 a speaker cex pay £43 in store credit if you don’t like them. Samsung are on the ball regarding order confirmation & delivery
Heat added
Anyone know what version of Bluetooth it uses?

if you want just one you can get it from Hughes for £59 hughes.co.uk/pro…ack
From Trusted Reviews:

"R1 might be the smallest of Samsung’s new multiroom speakers but it gives the larger R5 a run for its money. You get the same extensive feature set and living room-friendly design – but, most impressively, it delivers more of the same powerful, punchy sound. There are some sacrifices to be made, but on the whole it does a similar job at a lower price."
Can you use them in stereo? Thinking about using it for my computer
Also Quidco 3%, and free next day delivery

You sure can. I've read somewhere that you can link up to 23 R1's on Wifi.

Bluetooth 4.0 and 2.4/5GHz dual band WiFi.
Google Integration?
Can you use them both for Spotify?
I have the SWA9000s with my soundbar for surround sound, they're tinny as hell and not particularly good at all. I understand you can use these alongside a Samsung soundbar to create a similar effect - anyone done this perchance?
Would have gone for this with the free Deezer but I just decided to go all sonos in the house now, had a mix of speakers before and it wasn't as easy to play in separate rooms as I would have liked
Can you connect these to the Samsung Soundbar? I have a soundbar, with the wireless speaker set-up
I think you might be qualified for 12 months of free deezer as it's per product I think and it says that any one person can claim up to 2 times so fingers crossed that'd be a great deal! even student deezer is 5 quid a month so making this 40 quid for 2!

Yeah, with a samsung soundbar you can go into the sound settings on your TV (well, assuming a Samsung TV) and set up a surround sound 'group' by choosing the middle, left and right speakers. Speakers can be balanced individually for volume.

Personally my experience isn't great though, with speakers regularly 'disappearing' which then defaults the TV back to the basic speakers. I get similar issues with the Samsung Multiroom App, where it seems a bit of a lottery whether the speakers stay paired.
Tempting, but don't need.
can someone suggest good suitable speaker stands please?

Better bass reproduction from what I gather, louder volume. OLED display on top instead of standard LED, but otherwise that's it from what I've picked out of reviews (not worth it for the extra cost when looking at RRP, but £34 isn't much really if the extras are important to you)

Will this connect to a Samsung tv?

Very easy to set up, app works fine, and sound is great.

Only wish there was a way to pair 2 together to take over phone/laptop speakers. Everything has to go through the multiroom app which is annoying.

Media on your phone storage, Amazon music, youtube and many apps will only work with one speaker using a bluetooth connection.

Downloaded music will work through the app though

Yep! Looks like it is deducting the £99 BOGOF offer as well as the £9.90 saving... even more tempting!
How is this versus sonos play 1 or play 5? Thanks
Had these delivered yesterday and the Deezer offer is actually 6 months FREE Deezer Hi Fi and not Premium which is currently £19.99 a month to subscribe to so makes this an even better buy in my opinion.

How do you find out if you’re in a company affiliated to Samsung, and, or could you just add one even if yours isn’t?
Can these be used in a multiroom group in Alexa? I have a Bose SoundTouch 10 which can be controlled via Alexa, but can't be added to a multiroom music group. Wondering if Alexa recognises this speaker as a device that can be added to the multiroom music group. Or is it just the Alexa speakers that can be added?

We have a corporate portal - you search for the company and there is a click through link that takes you to the same place, but with additional savings off the prices.

Weird, how can the r1 be better than the r3?
R3 is also 2 for 1. Bigger sub and speaker as well as a few more format options and bigger oled
