Cheers just ordered
got a couple of these - they're good and work well, unfortunately they're just slightly too big - they usually mean you cant use the plug socket next to it- on some wall sockets they also actually press against the wall socket switch and make it unusable! word of warning... their round shaped ones may be better for some

I bought these last time they were on offer, mine were slightly more expensive. I find the size ideal. I can switch on the socket next to it, sorry to disagree!! I think they're brilliant. Thanks for posting @Brutes

Maybe I have small wall sockets I still use them in any case as they are great for the price
Will they fit side by side?
Can anyone tell me the difference please?

The ones in the original post are: 5.6 x 5.6 x 3.2 cm. The ones you posted are: 5.6*5.8*5cm
Is it possible to monitor power usage with those? Cheers.
It might be obvious to most but the code only works once. I needed to buy 4 so there were better offers for me elsewhere. Cheers anyway OP
Only work with 2.4ghz networks, which is a bit of a pain.
Anyone got other use cases for these besides just simple lamps on/off etc.?

I haven't looked into it yet but you might be able set timers, i'm planning to use mine with a wax melter smelly thing, create some evening profile so when i give alexa the command all the twinkly lights come on and the room smells nice. Useful if you use plug in heaters/radiators. Kids games consoles so you can cut the power on them.

I have just switched to new bt smart hub 2 from a home hub 5. Could not get half of my smart items to connect due to not being able to seperate the 2.4ghz and 5ghz network. Why in this day and age are all these items 2.4ghz only, its crazy. In the end I had to change the ssid on the new hub, to the same as the old one to get them all to connect again.

I assume that means there is no real time monitoring available, is there? Thanks.
I use these with the smart life app. Now have 8 dotted around. Outside lights come on at sunset and you can set all kinds of timers and groups. Might have to buy more.

Well... I did not expect any other way of doing this to be honest since there is no display on the device. Just assumed there was no such an option since SargoTechniks only mentioned daily stats. Thanks for confirming.

I believe Techin do power monitoring ones, but I don't think these are the ones.

They modified the design a while ago. If you look at the ones in the post picture, you'll see they have a "collar" to stop them fouling the switch.

Right you are! Thanks for pointing that out
I'm pretty sure these ones can't be flashed with Tasmota. Good price though if you are happy with using Tuya's servers.
Right... So to conclude my question - these definitely do not offer power monitoring feature. And please correct me if I am wrong ;-) Thanks for your input.

I had to return the last Techin ones I got because they couldn't be flashed. I had success with these. They also have power monitoring.

Your tip was perfect. Arrived today and all 4 flashed within 10 minutes
The credit goes to alpha1411 who mentioned them here.
