Fair play posting a sonos deal. Anyone googling sonos customer service can make up their own mind and take their chances.
If you really are on the lookout for some and can wait, these prices will go down more in the next few months as Sonos start discounting to move stock that is building up.
In Stereo mode, how does this compare to the Google Home Max (also Stereo). I've picked up two Max at the recent BT deal, and am unsure whether two Sonos One would have been better (and smaller footprint).
Cold. Sonos will be ‘bricking’ these One’s before you know it.
I’m waiting for the new Sonos Won’s to be released.

Hi,have also bought 2 Google home maxs, waiting for the second one to be delivered.i have lots of Sonos speakers around the house,I have one play one.
The sound is really good up to a certain volume, it's has a very true sound reproduction ,I would say the the Google home max is not quite as tight .but I think for the money £300 for two of Max's is a no brainer.are you not that impressed with them as a stereo pair? I have to play 3 in my surround sound set up, they do not perform as good as these.

They have not arrived, yet . They will replace a Google Home and LG Wk7, but I was unsure because you read great things about Sonos One...

What’s your guess on price point in the next few months? On the one hand, they’ll be wanting to reduce prices to clear stock. On the other hand, they’ll be desperately trying not to devalue the brand anymore than they have already have done.
Going cold because of the negative press over age old speakers being bricked. Yet folk don't pay as much attention to old mobile phones. Most (android) handset manufacturers only offer 2 years worth of OS updates with only a handful offering more. BUT because the press hasn't highlighted it . . . .

Hi,I got one of the max set up and running,I found it sounded better after it had been play music for a bit,it down to its self tuning with the mics.i think better value than the Sonos ,the only big down size is the (Size) ,the Sonos can go pretty much anywhere, with the latter cannot, and I think it's down to your music taste ,Sonos is great at music like classical, great highs and mids reasonable bass because of small form factor. The Google is a different type of beast, the high are good mid decent and the bass is very strong.this is more of a room filling unit.im happy with my purchase, I think it was definitely the best bang for my buck.but ever body homes are different, layouts and walls etc.when you get them set up,have a play around with them.see what you think. You'll always be able to sell them on , even make a profit.hope you like them, let me know you thoughts on

Hi,Sonos back tracking,we don't really want all are loyal customers to throw away they're perfectly functional equipment, just to buy nice shiny new ones,to fund Sonos greed.
I have a house full of Sonos,I'm start to full out of love with.shame as there products are good, but I do not approve of their morals anymore.

I am mostly listening to classic... Oh well...as you said, most likely won't have made a loss on them!
So, just bought a beam and looking to get some surrounds, was looking at the Sonos One and Sonos One SL

VERY and Currys have the SLs for £159 each, also with the £50 offer if you buy 2 making the £268, VERY will knock another £20 off with their recent code

any suggestions ? Surely these wont be redundant ?

also looking at the Flexson stand

If just for surrounds then the SL’s or even the Ikea Symfonisk. ikea.com/gb/…07/

Was going to get the Ikea ones, but read reviews and these are not very adaptable to positioning where I want them, also are the SLs not a better spec / build?

Yep. That's pretty much it.

The last bit's right. But not the first.

I have an Ikea Symfonisk and several Play:1's and Sonos One (1st Gen) and would defiantly recommend the Sonos One SL (pretty much identical to Sonos One less the integrated voice control) over the Symfonisk for better aesthetics, form factor (size), adaptability, and sound.

I got them yesterday. They are far, far better than the Google Home and LG WK7. Sound is much clearer, better defined, and overall a lot more pleasant to listen to.

But still, I can't help feeling a bit disappointed. They are quite massive, and for the footprint I would have hoped that they are getting a little closer to my floor standing speakers, but that's still miles off. If the Sonos One offers similar sound with a smaller footprint, it seems like a better buy.

Maybe I am trying out a small Amp with bookshelf speakers and Chromecast in the future.
