If that was a windows machine you would be looking at £80
or £60
Hotukdeals users hate things that aren't a deal.
This isn't a deal.
This isn't even close to a deal.
This is so far from a deal you can't even see a deal.
The deal is a dot to you!
It is a 2009 tech product for £380.
An useless 2009 tech product for £380 because good luck doing anything meaningful with just 2GB RAM and a laughable 9400m GPU.
Mac OSX is soooooo much better at maximising the resources available than Windoze ever has.
Mine is nearly 5 years old and hasn't lost a beat in pace since day one.
Although in fairness. This is still a pretty poor deal when a similar conditioned 2011 model can be had off eBay for a similar price.
Laughable with Windoze, indeed. Mac OSX or Linux? Think again mate.
Windoze, really? How old are you?
Anyway, no. A 9400m is laughable regardless of OS. I have a Mac mini 2011. With an i7, 8GB RAM and a 6630m GPU. Even with that setup it is starting to strain with my media requirements.
A 2009 Mac for that price is a ripoff, and silly fanboy wars has nothing to do with it.
It would probably still be capable of correcting your poor grammar!
Try and run any version of OSX in the last five years on 1gb of ram.
Now run windows 8.1 / 10 on 1gb of ram and you will see a massive difference in performance in favour of windows.
OSX is nowhere near as efficient as the latest versions of windows. There is a reason why apple wont let you install windows 10 on a mac that is more than 3.5 years old, because they will see massively superior performance and dump OSX and not upgrade to a newer mac.
Also, have you seen how hard it is to upgrade the hard drive on one of these things?

I suggest you learn about computers before you talk about them.
Oh, and I actually have one of these imac's because I am an app developer, I purchased it off of ebay for £160.
COLD.
Old tech and overpriced.
If you want a cheap Mac pay a maximum of £399 for the entry level Mac Mini (there have been deals recently to get this at a better price) and hook up a standard computer monitor keyboard and mouse. You'd be paying roughly the same and getting a modern Intel i5 CPU and a lot more storage space (500GB).
There's a lot of arguments to spend more than £399 and get a better Mac but if that's your budget then its better than this refurbished 2009 iMac
That's the thing, the only people bringing in that silly fanboy wars are those in defended of Mac. Just why? It should be clear to them that people are voting this cold because it is not a good deal, regardless what logo is on the box.
As you say, if £380 is your budget the Mac mini is a much better choice. At the very least it will run your media work decently.
Ram is actually pretty easy on this particular model.
