20% extra on trade in prices when you trade against Final Fantasy XIII at Gamestation

If you trade in any games at Gamestation towards Final Fantasy XIII (PS3 or XBOX360), there is an additional 20% on the trade in value. Gamestation are selling for £39.99.

I traded in some old games I don't play any more and got the game for £11.20 this morning.

Apologies if this was posted before, I can't see it anywhere! Obviously only of use to those who wish to trade in something, but I thought it might help someone.

Sorry, I didn't manage to catch how long this deal was on for, but there was definitely a poster up in the window today...

Get them to pricematch ASDA/TRU/Sainsburys first for £34.99 ish before doing this deal!

orrrr just price match against CEX, where prices are usually higher and get £1 per game and buy the game elsewhere?

I did, and I would have got £26 in cash from them (plus our store never has cash to give out it seems) and I got £28.80 in Gamestation. As I said, this won't suit everyone..........

yeh usually better beating cex on trade ins, however my gamestation now wont beat cex per game by a £1 its per transanction so if you have 50 games to trade in you get one extra pound very annoying

also worth noting u get 20% extra if you buy the new battlefield game

Anyone know if this also applies to heavy rain ?

Nice one! I failed to use the price match option (thanks Babbler!), or it'd have cost me about that too... ah well. £11 is better than £40!

Thanks a lot for this, they wouldn't let me price compare because the shops "weren't in the catchment area" but it was good, I bought MW2 brand new for £26, and managed to trade it in for £30.

How long is this on for?

Yeah anyone know how long this offer will be on for?

Really? £30 for MW2? I completed it and cant be bothered to play it anymore as have a looooong queue of games to complete, so will sell it and and another to the queue!

They gave me the 20% extra and I didnt even buy a game just got credit on a voucher. £24 for bayonetta cost me £17.99 about a month ago so got platinum and a profit!!

tell them if they want to be really pedantic about it you can always put it through as fifty separate transactions, ie trade in one, with your extra quid for the transaction, then go round to the back of the queue and trade in another, beaten by a quid, and so on and soforth. That's what I would do, and as much as they would hate me for it, after a few games they would get the point and add a quid on to each of them to save the hassle I think.

Play the system people

If you fancy being really cheeky, show them CEX's price, then say Blockbusters will beat that by a quid, so they need to up it by a further quid, although that is luck of the draw as to whether the manager will let you get away with that. Certainly worth a go imo though

I believe they give you the extra 20% off now when trading in for a new release.

I bought Mass Effect 1 pre-owned before Christmas for £7.99 and got a trade in value of £15.60 for it (with the extra 20%) against Battlefield 2

This is only a good deal if they price match the cheapest price going - but the real lowest value this game has been available thus far was £31.50 from thehut (plus quidco of £2). So whilst its good for people offloading games, it's still not the cheapest deal for the game itself.

Also 80% of people who were anticipating this game will have bought by now...so I would imagine a price drop within the month...

Decision is now, do I get Bad Company or FF?

Cool gamestation on sat

Its much more likely they will refuse your service completely.

20% extra is a good deal considering most people probably will have games taking up space on a shelf they will never play again. I was told the deal will run for a week.

Trade in price for Bioshock 2 and mw2 was £26.75 today.

anyone know how much i'll get if i trade a brand new sealed copy of Battlefield bad company 2? really want FF13!

Just got my copy today, the cashier almost priced matched it to £25 instead of £35 until my kinder side corrected him. I traded in:

Mass Effect 2 (No DLC): £30 (More than I paid for it new from shopto.net with the DLC code)
Left 4 Dead: £12

So I left with FFXIII and £7.01 credit. One happy customer.

Heh, I'm only asking them to hold true the promises they have plastered all over their stores.
