And the usual warning about the poor quality of Clarks shoes - cheap imports sold at high prices because people are gullible enough to believe that the name still means anything:

Check your wardrobes for shoes rotting like all these!

Clarks just don't make good quality shoes anymore. Try Hotter instead - British-made and much better customer service for around the same price.

How I can concur with this statement. I purchased a pair of 'Isna Pebble' sandals around April last year. They were for a holiday that didn't materialise. They remained in the wardrobe until a recent trip away. They have literally made my feet bleed at the ankle and toes. I have no idea what kind of material the lining is made of. I have written to Clarks enclosing photos of my feet and they are not interested. Whilst I know which Clarks shop I purchased them from, I cannot find the receipt but it is almost sure to be with the box that has long been in the re-cycle bin!!!! I also attached a picture of my other 9 pairs of Clarks shoes just to show them I was a half decent customer. Clarks are just not interested so I will return the favour and buy something else.

Took my sons clarks school shoes back on Saturday after he had snapped the elastic lace. They swapped them without a receipt and let us choose a different style.
They are just one of those shops where you should never pay full price.
