In fact change that, because after a quick nosey on Chrono 24 you'll find both dealers and private sellers based here in the UK are asking in excess of a grand more than what I paid for mine brand new 18 months ago.
It's also worth me pointing out that where I'd usually expect 15% to 20% discount on any new Omega at my local AD due to my history there he never got stock of this piece so I had to source it from an AD down south who was only willing to give me 200 quid discount as I had no history there and it was a limited edition too.
I've owned both a Submariner and Daytona in SS in the past and sold them after a number of years. I wish I'd held onto the Sub but I was flat broke at the time and needed the cash. I never really liked the Daytona, I bought it for the wrong reasons and never enjoyed wearing it.
I now have a CWC G10, a Rolex GMT Master II and a Patek Calatrava and no plans to ever buy another watch
