Thats the GU10 colour starter pack
5 x Dimmer switches
2 x E27 colour bulbs
2 x GU10 colour bulbs

All for £333 delivered! The rest of the bulbs i'll buy at IKEA on Tueaday.

Now just deciding whether to go for a few Hue Go's as well!

Thanks to Chanchi32 who posted the deal about the dimmer switch originally.

Meh, very average prices, especially compared to the Amazon 3 for 2 deals. RE hue go - unless you need a portable light the Bloom is a better light. But personally, I just got a couple of E27s and did this with an Ikea Fado lamp: ikeahackers.net/201…tml

I have a couple of these. Use them mainly as bedside lights. But you can unplug from the mains and take them where you want. Work great outside on warm summer nights. Highly recommended.

Seem to get very good reviews on Amazon. Personally I don’t think just 4 hours light before it needs charging again warrants the cost.
Great deal! Heat added. Thanks for sharing
Thanks, will take the plunge when I get back from work. Want to wire one behind the TV instead of using the strip light. Might get a couple of spares at this price!
Also 1% back from quidco.

How come the starter pack comes with 5 x dimmer switches but only 4 x bulbs?
I've got 4 currently in my house. Wish the price would come down a bit more on the GU10 bulbs. Generally if you have GU10 you'll probably have quite a few which makes it very expensive just to replace one room with them.

You can now use the Hive app to control Hue bulbs I noticed on the update recently in case of interest to someone.

The gu10 starter pack comes with 3 bulbs, dimmer switch and hub. I needed extra switches and bulbs to go with it.

Yeah true for some stuff. I’ve already got a fair bit of Hue from previous deals and might wait until Amazon Day in July where I’m sure they’ll be some more great deals.

It does. Haven't picked my IKEA ones up yet, but been doing a lot of research. Going for the £12 ones as has the white spectrum

Yes they do. As long as the bulbs are on the latest firmware (new ones in store should be by now). When trying to get them connected first reset the bulbs by turning them off and on and the switch six times. Then try connect through hue app.... Worked flawlessly for me!

I had a bit of trouble initially but found that by resetting the Ikea bulb, keeping it turned off, then searching for a new bulb and then turning on the Ikea bulb, it then found it perfectly.
I like the Ikea smart lighting and their prices are great. My only problem is that I need some Bayonet bulbs and they only do the screw ones..Is there a way around this? Will they work with an adaptor like this

I love my Hue Go, sits on the top of a cupboard for effect lighting and then if we head into the garden, pop it off the shelf and have a little portable lamp for a few hours as the sun sets

Yes they do work with such adaptators. Please however note that this will increase the length of the bulb and might not fit everywhere
Also 3% cashback with visa offers
Waiting to see if Amazon will price match....

I paid around 150 for 6 colour gu10s in my kitchen year before last. I bought 2 time starter packs was 20% off Argos then used some 8% off Argos gift cards and then sold the hubs on eBay as I already had a hub. U might not get the extra 8% I got off. But could still buy the starter sets and sell the hubs to make them super cheap

and you can adjust colour / etc and all the other standard hue settings via app? works with dimmer swtich etc?
I know a lot of people are focusing on Hue here but it looks to apply to all their smart home stuff. Just picked up a Ring chime on it for £19.20 and free delivery! thanks OP.

IKEA do their own adaptors (2 for a £1 a think) which work great.

only thing I’ve found is the the Ikea bulbs occasionally flicker, which the Philips ones don’t do

I haven't got Ikea colour but the gu10s I have work with dimmer no issue
What would any smart home owners recommend for someone who has nothing at all (apart from Google home)? Been looking at deals and think I might bite at this.

Got it. Works a treat.
Closing down Maplin selling this with 30% off at our local store Chadwellheath
FINALLY!

A decent offer for the 2m strip. Been waiting a while. Doesn't beat the £34.99 I once paid at Argos, but waited long enough.

If Amazon price match and it combines with their 15% off 2 deal, then that would be amazing as well.
