Guys, I just want to give you a BIG warning about doing this, and the consequences you may face. It is honestly, deadly serious. Would advise anyone against it.

We were all sitting there on a Sunday afternoon, stuffed from our usual roast...when a rather loud 'thud, thud, thud' sounded at the front door.

We all looked at each other - 'who would that be on a Sunday? we thought, slightly panicked.' My parents were around, so I looked at my Dad, and he looked at me...and he just said..."you haven't been fiddling the eBay location data again, have you?" My heart sank. I knew I had. Absolutely awful feeling.

We thought about hiding under the dining room table to avoid whoever it was outside, but it was too late...they were already making their way around the side alley. Even so, we hid, hoping they would go away.

But no, moments later...we heard gruff sounding men of Swiss origin shouting "breach, breach, breach". Before we knew it they were in! Upon entering our living room (at this point, we were all in tears - terrified)...the gruff sounding Swiss gentlemen shouted again..."breach, breach, breach...of eBay terms and conditions".

It was at that point, I knew...I had been caught by the eBay Police.

Once identified, I was frogmarched out in front of all the neighbours. My Mother screaming that I was actually a terrorist to the many onlookers, in the hope that they would not discover the real truth...that I swindled eBay out of 20% voucher only intended for use in other countries. The absolute shame of it.

I was sentenced later that week, after 3 terrible nights in Guantanamo eBay, and given the electric chair only 4 days later. eBay justice is swift. I type this from beyond the grave in the hope that you will avoid the same fate. Use this trick at your own peril.

Was looking at this last time . EBay are not exactly known for there friendly care free attitude. If they decided against it , they would just take the balance and close your account and you will never be able to sell anything ever again. The phrase don't poke the bear comes to mind .

I don't like EBay, but they are a necessary evil .
If you end up needing to contact eBay, start your message with "Howdy" for good measure.

That’s why the instructions state to change your registered address to one in the US.

”The Method (thx addhanchi32)
  • Go on your ebay account and go to account settings
  • Then on left hand menu go to addresses and change Registration address to USA (do not change delivery address)
  • You should get a message congratulating on your move to the US and then click submit
  • Then browse on the UK site and see what you want to buy, when you know and have the product page - amend the url to ebay.com (instead of .co.uk)
  • If done successfully you should see the price in £ and dollars
  • Add to basket and choose paypal

PREPSPRING OR PICKDADSGIFT?

It'll be the PICKDADSGIFT code.
I would assume the spring one is a copy-paste from the old instructions, that hasn't had the code updated

Time to finally get a 4k TV
Tempted to give this a whirl on the Panasonic TX-50EX700B from the Panasonic outlet. Potentially £279.99 after discount?
Does anyone know if this would work on best offer items ?

what time in uk it will start working
hmm, very tempting as I've been looking at something for £275 for a while now but it's just over my budget. Do these offers ever come out for the UK? I'm a bit concerned they'll backtrack and charge me the full price.
Good time to snap up an Xbox One X or wait until E3 or even Amazon Prime Day? Still gutted I missed the John Lewis glitch

It's fraud. By definition, wrongful deception in order to create financial gain. So yes, there's a chance there could be repercussions. Will there be any repercussions though?

Probably not.

has anyone lost their account doing this?

Ask yourself this, do you really need the extra pixels? Because thats all you get. Games still run like crap, and most are still limited to 1080p textures, with a select few getting 4k.

If you wait 3 years for the PS5 you'll get considerably more for your money and wont have lost anything in the meantime. You may even get 4k60.

I "downgraded" from a PS4 Pro and One X to a entry level £500 PC for 1080p gaming and it runs anything I want and runs it significantly faster than any of the current consoles can muster.
Looking at a refurb Xbox One X for about £300

Decent
7 AM PST is 2 PM in the UK OP, not 4 PM.
My address was still set to Italy from the last 10% offer, haha! Thanks OP, I will be purchasing later with this

All I did last time was add the item to my watch list on ebay UK.
Then change address.
Go to ebay.com login with same details as UK and buy.
On paypal it was all in UK pounds.
Thanks OP

Ye that's a good point. I have the One S but just got 4k TV and seemed logical to make the jump up. Think I will just end up waiting for a unicorn deal maybe around Black Friday
