Warning! I bought one from this seller in the last eBay discount event. The box was not a sealed box from Apple. It had been re-shrink wrapped. Apple plastic wrap has always been very precise and sealed at the edges. It was posted in a brown bubble wrap envelope and the box was battered when it landed. The UK adapter was not genuine and did not have the CE certification mark. NOT NEW SEALED FROM APPLE. I sent mine back as it had grief written all over it.

Ok just to clear things up. Ordered mine yesterday and arrived just now. The wrapping is exactly the same with the seams in the same places as the uk 1. I have them both in front of me as picked 1 up from John Lewis in Wednesday. The only thing that is different is the depth of the box. The uk one is deeper but I can only assume it’s something to do with the more bulky uk plug. Along with the iPad you get a separate package contains the uk plug adapter, headphones, stylus pen and a cleaning wipe. I can’t open the box quite yet as a present although tempted as my son wouldn’t know any different. Checked serial number on the box and comes up fine. Also the label on the back of the box as the one from JL mentions Apple.com/uk where as the eBay one mentions Apple.com So is the import. US one also has the FCC I.d code on it which they only use in the states. Hope this clears things up

I bought a Mini 5 from the same seller with the last 20% off, came exactly as you said in a battered jiffy with an adaptor. Mini was new and sealed and once connected to my wifi showed 12 months warranty from Apple and was £130 cheaper than buying direct.

Great deal well worth the money!
Are these US imports with the wrong plug?

Are these US imports with the wrong plug?

Yes, they give you a uk plug to replace it with.
Was waiting for this. Bought at 10am.

Me too, went for Silver. What colour did you order?
Thanks, was waiting for this. Ordered
I can confirm these are US Imports as I have brought from them previously. But at this price I do not mind.
Comes with a rather flimsy UK adapter!!
Anyone chime in if they would get this or a refurb Pro gen 1 for about 180? Want to draw and note take etc but worried about the age of the pro.
Does this really only have the A10 chip? My Air 2 64GB is using the A8x and has been out for 5 years!

I would get this deal, you can draw on this one too.
Thanks, ordered
Anyone seen any deals on cases for these?

Space grey. Prefer the black borders.

Any reason why? All I can tell is this has 1 more gb of ram but a worse screen and speakers.

I'd be running the battery gauntlet and software updates might fall off...
Ordered, thanks OP, will take the John Lewis 1 back now that I picked up yesterday.

I'm in the same boat, looking for a drawing tablet for my son that wants to get into animation. I've been looking at the older pros, spec wise this 10.2 is probably better in terms of cpu but the screen on the pro is laminated. I'll probably get this one as i've concerns over battery and this iPad is comparable with all the old Pro's accessories like pencil and keyboard.

I have the 10.5 pro and if I could get that again at a decent price I would

Battery, software, if it's been bent, this is slightly bigger

That's not a bad way to look at it. I'm concerned about the ram and non laminated display myself.

It's either 180 for refurb gen 1 Pro 235 for this or 280 for gen 2 Pro..... Then accessories on top etc.

Tough choice.

Fair. You mean physically damaged? I guess I need to research if the laminated screen is key or not
Or £320 for the 120gb

EDIT: This can be had for under £300 using other link

Has anyone ever tried to claim on the Apple warranty with a US import? Just intrigued since iPad warranty isn't global, it's possibly limited to the country which the iPad was purchased in.

I had screen damage upon opening brand new and my warranty wasn’t an issue. Got a new device
Is 32gb enough for a beginner drawing? Avoiding downloading movies photos videos etc?

It is a worry...are these particularly prone to have problems? might have been lucky, but never needed to use the 1yr warranty on any of our apple products
Ordered for mum, would had preferred the mini 5 but this is a good price!
Question, can we sue this code more than once per account?

I feel it's probably more likely for there to be an issue when you receive the iPad, rather than one develop. Then PayPal covers you so I'm not too concerned but it's nice to know that Apple will honor the warranty for 12 months for piece of mind.
Best price I've seen for this.Even beats eglobal and with much quicker delivery and probably easier to return if any issues.Heated.

but if you opened the ipad from the box and it is broke, you would claimed against the retailer for a new ipad and not apple themselves under the warranty? the warranty is for faults that develops with the product and not damage during transit or the retailer had sold you damaged goods?
Keeps coming up with error 99 at checkout!!!
