20% off Aviva Car Insurance Via App & £20 M&S Voucher Free!

Aviva are now allowing you to install a free App on your Android or iOS device to check your driving skills for 200 miles, acting like a black box.

After that, depending on how you drive, you can save from 5-20% depending on how you drive.

The good thing is, even if you drive "unsafe", you are still able to insure your car with them at the standard premium.

For a young driver like me, if I drive safe, it will save me the full 20% off which is fantastic as they are already the cheapest provider for me.

Also, first 1,500 people to complete get £20 M&S voucher!

All details are in the linked web page at Aviva.

Hope this helps someone like it did for me :-)

What's to stop you putting your phone in the Vicar's wife's car whilst you do doughnuts round Tesco's car park at 3am?

I believe in the T&C's you agree it's whilst you are driving. I think (_;)

Na screw that, drive like a nuttaaaaaaa!

I think things like rush hour driving will be taken into account. I just took out a new fully comp policy with Aviva last week through the quidco website which has tracked £60 cashback. Not sure if this app would have saved me more

dont say this lightly shi@ company heartless Basta@@@

didn't they quoteyouhappy?

Smacks of 1984 (_;)

Terrible company, just wait until you need to make a claim.

great company saved me £400 on a 3 care multi car policy and £60 back from TCB took about 5 months till payday! also uninsured dibdob cover provided jib job gets collared by the bill

I don't think the vicars wife would know how to use a smart phone other that using it to put her tea and doughnuts on to not to put 'coffee or doughnuts rings' on the table top!

holiday booked me and mum, mum dies day before we leave refused to pay out are they great now . took them to the ombudsman and won they are sh@t .

Been with Aviva for two years and customer service is great however m renewal wasnt. Heard great things about Tesco;s motor comparison site, saved me a lot of money for a better cover. Aviva couldnt match.

Sound like big brother to me! The reason they give you money back with these "black box" ideas is just think about the amount of data they can collect from people and probably sell it.

If they reduced the cost of insurance for everyone then that is going to wack the cost up in the end as the company won't be making as much. They take us all for fools.

Same a Tesco's etc... giving Clubcards... the data is so much more important to them than giving you some money back.

Sad for your loss, its only when you make a claim that you find out the sort of nitemare that you went through, I hear this time and time again with many different insurers, all as bad a one another!

Well am sorry if people don't like Aviva, however, it surely can't be overlooked that by using this app you can get a discount depending how you drive.

Please tell me how this is not a deal?!!

Also, to those who don't like the idea of being "tracked", neither do I! However, it is only for 200 miles, then you are free to go about as normal, that's what I think is a good idea.

Voucher offer extended until 13th May, qualified for £20 M&S voucher, saved £75 on my car insurance and £60 cashback tracked from Quidco, happy days

Cold!!!

Not expired !! Downloaded app yesterday, clocked up 240 odd miles over 2 days for work, got the pop-up to say that I qualified for the £20 M & S Voucher, so details filled in

Also, my driving score was 8.2 So in theory that means a further 20% discount, should I take out a policy with them (well, 10% actually as I never pay more than £200 per year for my car insurance, fully comprehensive with 1 other named driver.

So, hot from me (now voted, as unexpired - thanks Mods)

Wife has also run the app & clocked up 200 miles, and so has my father, completing his 200 miles today. Both had the pop-up advising them they have qualified for the gift voucher

Clocked up 200 miles and got mine!

Got my £20 voucher today - cheers guys!

Got my voucher too.... but their insurance is still too dear for mr, even if they gave me a 70% discount.

I drive a 190BHP Toyota Celica T-Sport. Insurance was £193 minus £45 Quidco. Net £158.

Incidentally I completed my 200 miles yesterday (8th May), and was told the £20 vouchers had all gone!

I spent a week getting up to the 200 miles required and got a score of 8.8.

I used the email link to get a quote but no discount was automatically applied and nor was there anywhere to apply my App results. Had to call them to get them to apply the discount. My quote went down from £330 to £303. A lot of trouble for £27 especially as I'd received much cheaper quotes via confused.com.

Ended up going with Sainsbury's with a price of £246.

So in summary: waste of time.
