Also, the guy who posted the original deal, earlier than this, is only on about 40 degrees heat at time of writing, whereas this duplicate one went to over 150 degrees in a matter of moments.

SUSPICIOUS?????

Absolutely hilarious how it went soooo hot instantly LOL.

Would John Lewis price match this, given it's ebay and it requires a voucher code?

EDIT:
In case anyone is wondering, John Lewis won't price match.
I've had two rejections today by email.
Confirmed over the phone with customer services afterwards.

They view this as an eBay deal rather than a Co-op Electrical deal.

If anyone tries this, let me know how you get on. £1439 for the 55” LG B7 is the best price around right now

Edit: scrap that. Max discount is £60 so it’s no good for that

"Looks like this code isn't ready yet. Please try again later."
Got that against a couple of TVs.
Did I miss something in the t&cs?

EDIT: working now. Must have gone live at 10am

That PS4 for £239 is NOT a PRO
Poor choice of items. Lots of categories, but very little filling them.

Yes especially as 2/3 of the items in the title can be found cheaper elsewhere (e.g Xbox One X £398 @ Grainger). Haven't even checked the TV either...

About 120 degrees in 2-3 mins and only 60 degrees in the following 10 minutes.

I hate the bias deals posted by editors have. They always go hot near instantly. They always contain reposts. Often the items are cheaper elsewhere. Beh.

I know how but there are perhaps better ways of doing it than cheating. If it's sponsored or similar it should be clear it is.
Second that "Suspicious " - Identical deals (second one should be removed ) but "Editors" duplicate post goes instantly hot . Think we have a voting problem here

This site used to pride itself on its lack of bias and ad posts. Over the last year there has been a steady increase in ad posts, and those awful pinned posts, which are usually for Chinese trash. A naive move thinking the members won't notice.

It's laughably blatant on this particular occasion, to the point where they may as well have put their hands up and admitted 'editor privileges' or something.
Guys don't go starting your conspiracy theories please.

The voucher was posted in vouchers.. vouchers do not gain heat as quickly as deals.
We don't automate votes, indeed if we took that angle we could just do away with votes altogether and decide what goes on the hot page and when.
There's no bias, if we were focused on money we wouldn't allow 75% of the content that is posted in deals - you would be able to say goodbye to instore content for a start off.

Fair enough, this deal went hot but don't patronise the members who voted on it by implying there's something dodgy going on, please. Deals can go hot or cold whether posted by an editor or not.

Like being registered in the Seychelles to save on tax?
Also my comment has now been removed from "top comments" - do the mods not approve of the truth?
This was posted ten minutes earlier than @msmyth post, so why are they both running together, when yours was clearly posted first?!

Yep. I reported this deal and got "we've dealt with it" message. So this should have been deleted. 🤔🤔🤔
@msmyth As per the various comments on your deal can you please merge your deal with this, only seems fair as this was posted earlier?
@reindeer333 if it was true, I wouldn't have commented as above. I would've liked your post.

Keep it on topic and be realistic please guys. It's a deals website, we're not the mafia.

Appreciated it, but how do you explain a deal that gets ~ 120 heat within 2 minutes and then only ~ 100 heat for the next 20 minutes. Something does not add up.

I respect what you are trying to achieve elsewhere on this site (Misc forum for example) but please don't treat as us gullible on this specific example right here.
It's a shame there isn't 20% off tin foil hats - I can see they'd be OOS in minutes

The fact that it originally stated a ps4 pro was available for £239 probably helped it get hot so quickly, before people spotted that was incorrect.
Now it's artificially hot, suggesting to the unaware that these prices are better than they actually are.
Imo it should be deleted and reposted correctly if the voting system is really there to assist members in spotting a genuinely hot deal.

What's the point of having 2 sections if the same thing can be posted to one and get priority- surely whichever was first should. I'd class a deal as BOGOF or everything being half price. And a voucher code being a voucher. Why have the voucher section when you could just post in the deal section for more heat and visibility...
Edited by: "IronSoldier" 13th Mar
It just shows how ridiculous codes cant be posted as deals when even staff cobble together 3 rubbish deals 99.9% of people who use code wont buy just to call it a deal.

The code is the deal not the examples.
