Never heard of one of these before?!
I I guess it is a way to get every Amazon customer tuned into Alexa. This is the cheapest way yet they have come up with to ensure the whole of the UK is being listened to by Alex in some form or another. I am guessing those who have bought echos are excluded from this deal

Pretty sure they are after the whole world not just Tiny little UK :P
This is probably targeted at people without any Alexa enabled devices. Amazon know who they are.
Work for me thanks
How many more ways are going to conjure up to take our money!
***PLEASE NOT****
If this does not work for your account, contact the amazon chat support and they will most likely help you out (if they dont just end the chat and start another one with someone else) I just contacted them about this and they gave me a £20 promo code lol. so im not even going to bother buying the item. im just going to spend it on something else lol

Thanks, worked for me after 2 attempts and about 30 min chat, may be because I've placed an lorder yesterday for a speaker4 system £200, the system was not qualifying for the promotionj.
This promotion also works if you buy a speaker (only certain speakers qualifying). I've purchased a Logitech speakers system yesyterday for £195. Logitech was not on the list of qualified speakers. After chatting once with Amazon, they declined to give me the deal for £14.99. Tried my luck again and they credited my account with £20, so got the Input for £14.99.
If you placed a recent order that involves speakers, you can try your luck, may work!
Voted hot, however my plan was to contact them anyway after noticing yesterday that I 'could have qualified' for the £14.99 price.

Not necessarily. Have 2 accounts, only one used for buying Alexa enabled devices. The code did not work on any of my accounts but managed to convince Amazon to apply the discount for me.

This one does not have a speaker. You add your own speaker to the device and make it Alexa enabled. If you use a decent speaker, you make it better than a Dot. The Dot is £50 now, this one £35, but if you get it with the promo code, will probably worth if you already have a speaker. Got a light bulb with Bluetooth and speaker integrated, hope I can use this with the bulb. So, instead of talking like an idiot with the speaker, I will talk to the light:)))

It is a Dot without speaker capabilities. You can still hook up a dot to your own speakers so pretty much the same really. Just a bit smaller, more discreet without the glowing light!
For £15 quid it isn’t bad in my view. I have a dot as well and I like to speak to it and don’t want to hear all the voice prompts via the amp. The second input might come in handy.
Does anyone own one and have issues with wake word Alexa? Mine never responded to alexa but was OK with Echo. Very odd. Wonder if it's a fault with mine or all units. I placed the Input next to my dot and when saying alexa the dot would respond but not the input. Change the wake word to echo and both respond.

Anyway it's got to go back for a refund because i don't know if its a defect.
