Think I've seen this on TV for the past 2 weeks.

i used them for the first time last week and must say i was highly delighted im in ne scotland and handed my parcel at 9.10am to a local shop and it was picked up at 10.38 am and was delivered to glasgow at 10.58 next day i was £6.55 for a 3 kg parcel and was insured for £50.00 and that included signed for and tracking

Guys, I work for Collect+ and can honestly say it's a fantastic service for the price

Cant rate collect+ enough use it all the time never had a problem really quick delivery

I hope they do well and take lots of customers of Royal Mail a company who use to care about there customers but now all they care about is money.

I've used them for a long time now and its a great company. The only problem i sometimes have is the people at the corner shop cant always work out how to use the machine.

I get my Amazon deliveries to the local shop from collect + great service, any probs with local shop just call their call number & they will make sure you get your parcel = top service

I often use Collect Plus, great and reliable service.I will never use Royal Mail for anthing other than basic envelope mails,as service is unreliable and their prices are just ridiculous.

Good service

However, they are Yodel.

Collect+ and Yodel are both fantastic, but Yodel seems to take all the flak.

Your parcel will be delivered by a Yodel branded Yodel driver.

They are good amazon use them for returns and the parcels always get to the destination pretty quick. I find yodel a rather good delivery company I've never had a problem with them, they always delivery when they say they will and do it pretty quick and that's who runs the collect+ service. Voted hot if I needed to send something I'd use them.

its a joint venture yodel/pay point

They might be ok but MyHermes is much cheaper than them for a similar level of service!

Was fantastic when they were on the Cashback sites, now its only average, why were they removed from the Cashback sites? Also, if you work there, how about pushing some kind of loyalty scheme for regular users? Only then will I say its fantastic (again)

thank god for my hermes and collect plus... they are putting real pressure on royal mail price inflation.

Do not use My Hermes for anything fragile….to many damaged goods to customers, even when packaged throughly and put a box within a box full of packaging peanuts!

Gonna use Collect+ on next delivery, even if its slightly more expensive than My Hermes - so long as packages arrive safely.

Im guessing if you dont have a printer
You cant use this service???

Every parcel I received from Collect+ has arrived bashed in or soaking wet.

Amazing deal, I've used them since they first began and it's a great price for when you send heavier items, beats Royal Mail by a mile. Local stores get paid a commission per parcel sent/ received so it's great for your local shop. I use Collect+ regularly and I simply cannot fault them- I send using the economy service and 8/10 times it arrives next day!

i always use my hermes drop off service. For a 2kg parcel there its £3.78, and you can send 1kg for £2.78. great service and lots of outlets. Ofcourse if sending to family or friends its worth checking out the UPS shop to shop service from 99p :-), which is handy because the weight threshold for this deal is 0-2 kg 3.91, so if you have a 1kg parcel, its cheaper to go with my hermes- can be found at parcel2go.com.

Thanks

Dave

i second this...another nail in the coffin of "great britain"....i envisage a postal system in 10 or 20 years time simular to the current power compainies...basically idiots charging whaterver they like for shiiitttt service....you could also add the future of the NHs to this also....depressing in the extreme...asset stripping of the highest order

Trust worthy source there with an absolute aversion to sensationalism and making false accusations.

Thanks for the info, heat added.
I've been using myHermes for 2 years, always been great until recently, one parcel damaged, another saying they messing customer around, so will try collect+ for my next delivery.

I use them all the time. Always been an excellent service and miles cheaper than Royal Mail.

I love the way Post Office staff try to make it look difficult pushing your package through their stupid template just so they can charge you more.

I spent about £7000 over 5 years with Royal mail via ebay. Only 1 item went missing in that time. Always had good post office service but I stopped using them when they put up their prices by ridiculous amounts and have been using Collect + ever since again outstanding service and reliability just more affordable.

Sod royalmail. I use ups for high value/ priority items and collect+ for less important stuff. No problems at all with either service. No more long queues and misserable old farts at the post office.

Any company cheaper and reliable to send a small 1kg parcel to South Africa? Used RM once and they lost it.

They would be great if they'd take longer items. Everything I send is just over 1 metre long. collect+ only do up to I believe 50cm. I always use Parcel Force and probably send 200 odd a year through them at £11.99 up to 30kgs.
They've never lost one and i'm quite but would be nice to have a cheaper option.

Any idea who is best/ cheapest for posting to the states?

Used tonight cheers OP

Wrong! Both Collect+ and MyHermes offer £50 as standard.

i used collect+ last week and if you want £50 cover with myhermes you have to pay an extra £1.25 but it is standard with collect+

use them all the time for anything over 1kg as RM is now too expensive
great service for the money
only had one item damaged and I got a full payment for the item plus the delivery cost

Back doors are too large to sent by Collect +

well heres an update the first parcel i sent was 1-3 day delivery and was delivered from ne scotland to glasgow in less than 24 hours but i sent another parcel and tried the economy way 3-5 days handing it in on the 28 th at 10am and to the same address but alas it has not arrived yet and after 2 phone calls today i found out that there is no parcel hub in scotland they are put to west midlands or yorkshire and the 1st day apparently doesnt count and neither does sat/sun and they said i would get a update by email in 2/3 hours today which surprise surprise i didnt and they are now telling me that it will probably be delivered by friday but no promises as they dont want to let me down and as it is not late yet for the 3-5 day delivery ??? it also takes 24 hours to get a response so folks beware
