American Express are doing a promotion which allows you to purchase HMV gift vouchers with 20% off the face value when paying using your American Express card. Postage charges apply.

You can use these vouchers in store or online if you get the plastic card version which you should.

I was after an iPad and was about to jump for the Black Friday deals from Apple, Currys or John Lewis but then I saw this offer and it works out cheaper. £399 iPad down to £320 when paying with the vouchers.

There are also Waterstones vouchers if thats your kind of thing. Site with complete offers here: cardmemberoffers.co.uk/bb/
Confirmation that this is legit as it is linked to from here enroll.amexnetwork.com/GB/…spx

NOTE: You must use your American Express card to pay for the vouchers. I believe any card issued by American Express e.g. Gold, Platinum, BA, SPG, Costco, etc cards are eligible. I am not sure about other American Express cards from other banks such as MBNA, Barclays, etc.

That's just normal in this climate. At least they aren't making huge loss after loss like comet. They should be around for the next few weeks at least.
Stoopid Amex...stick your paper 'instore' vouchers up your ****!

EDIT ...so now there's a possibility they'll issue plastic cards...these can be used instore?

...however, when I try to log in with my proper AMEX log in details it doesn't recognise them...seems far too dodgy to bother with... ...shame that!

All seems legitimate to me. UK based company, contact numbers and addresses. And someone has already called them, could be a bargain here.

Can you pool gift vouchers together for bigger purchases?
this looks dodgy as hell
nice, heat added
You cannot get to this site from americanexpress.co.uk ...this does not look legit!!!
they do this every year. Its a standard amex thing
Please Can Any1 Confirm of this Works I Desperately want to Buy the IPad Mini 16GB Wifi costing 269£ I can save almost 50£ if this Actually Works
For people who think its not legit I found this deal on headforpoints.com

You should also be covered if spending £100+ under credit card regulations plus Amex are quite good with customer service. I will try to amend the post to include postage.

You could buy a new keyboard (or at least a new shift key to replace your broken one) at the same time.

Lol, it doesn't look dodgy at all you n00b.

Here's the terms - not usable online, and not usable at concessions.

HMV Paper Voucher Terms and Conditions: This voucher can be exchanged for the purchase of any goods at any hmv stores located in the UK, Ireland and Guernsey (excluding Selfridges). This voucher is not redeemable online. The voucher may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the face value of the voucher on payment of the difference. If the full value of the voucher is not redeemed, a new HMV gift card will be issued with the remaining balance. Please note that this voucher is non-refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash, gift vouchers or gift cards or e-vouchers, iTunes gift cards, tickets, mobile phones or digital downloads. The voucher may not be redeemed against concession stock. HMV is under no liability should vouchers be lost, stolen or damaged. HMV reserves the right to refuse or cancel this voucher with reasonable cause.

Or you could buy direct from Amazon or any other decent online retailer and end up paying more or less the same price without any of the faffing!

That's the address for paying your bill mate, this deal for a gift card purchase. It's part of their thing with foursquare. Here's the URL you need:

Can't log in with my Amex details so very strange. In addition terms & conditions clearly state this is a paper voucher. Other than the one person, has anyone else confirmed its plastic cards directly with Amex?

If you can post a new iPad 4 from amazon at £320, you'll make a lot of friends here!
The one thing that I've noticed is the Maximum denomination available is 10£ and the Max Quantity u can Purchase is 10 so for 269£ I'm going to need 27 Vouchers and I'm going to have to buy them in 3 different Transactions will I be able to redeem all 27 Vouchers in Exchange for the IPad Mini

Don't login with Amex. Just sign up with new details as this login is separate from your Amex one.

Ive found that after you add to your basket you can then update the number to anything you want
SVM Europe are industry leaders when it comes to gift cards, vouchers etc.

They are hosting this promotion for AMEX. Nothing to worry about. The only thing that is wrong with the site is that they didn't bother with SSL and getting a certificate, so beware any information you send is unencrypted and can be intercepted.

This is their normal store:

I repeat do not enter your Amex login. Just register on the site as your Amex login will not work.
