Before you waste £ on something you do not need Stacey, take the battery out of the laptop, anything that is plugged into any of the USB ports (( mice transmitter / wifi dongle )) undo the 4 / 6 8 screws or if it is a pop off hard drive cover underneath, pop it open, take out the RAM chips, undo the hard drive and remove it (( leave it away from your table / desk you are fixing it on )) open the screen as far as the hinge will let you, place the laptop on one side and point a low heat hair dryer at the BACK of the laptop and leave it for a good 15 mins not too close, just close enough so you can feel the hot air hitting the plastic, repeat the process by switching the laptop over and pointing the hairdryer at the KEYBOARD area, again 15 mins or so, once you have done that, move it out of the way, get an oven dish or plate, put the hard drive on the plate and warm it up with the hairdryer for 5 mins or so.. once you have done that, let everything COOL down for a good 15 mins or so, once cool, put the hard drive back in the bay in the bottom, put the ram back in and finally the battery, do NOT plug the mains charger in just yet, turn the laptop back on and press F1 / F2 / F5 or F8 to get into the bios (black and white screen) once in there, simply press F10 and hit save and enter... reboot or restart the laptop, if it can see the drive, turn if off again, plug the charger in and charge the battery up again with it off, if it works, use as normal and save your £ to go to thorpe park instead!!!
Just used it again and is working fine, clear your browser cache and try on the desktop version of the mobile browser you are using
No
Short and sweet thank you 😊
Ultra 1TB is USB powered, The My Books are external power supplies.
I believe its a separate power supply
Not wanting to spend a lot, just something reliable that I can store all my photos and documents on.
Thanks in advance
The My Book will have a 3.5
Ordered a recertified My passport and when the shipment got to my local UPS the tracking showed an error with my address (although UPS delivered another item in the last few weeks). Kept getting pre-scripted replies from WD like please wait 7 days before raising a support issue, even though it was two weeks later, and they never contacted UPS to find out what the issue was with the address.
Ordered on 14/02/18 and they only agreed to refund me today.
Good price but for customer service I'd avoid, although I desperately need expansion for my ps4.
Not voted either way
anyone had luck in the last 10 mins?
Ordered obviously!!
Yes.. Im almostcertain
