20% Off Wedding Rings @ Goldsmiths (Limited Time Deal?)

13
Found 17th Dec 2015
Ok so not something everyone is going to be looking for, but wanted to post this for anyone who may be interested!

Ordered two very nice white gold bands last week, exactly what my partner and I wanted, and at 20% off we are very happy to have saved what we did, which can now go to other things on the wedding budget

Noticed that the code offer is still popping up today so not sure how long this will run for? If you navigate to the Wedding Rings page, the popup should appear asking you to sign up for the code, which is: WEDDING20

You could of gone the jewellery quarter (bham or Covent Garden London) or to an independent jewellers and probably got them half the price you paid...

I was under the assumption that considering the current market value of gold, you would be hard pressed to find any 18/24ct gold jewellery at half price, considering it could just be melted back down? Either way my partner and I are very happy with what we paid, and although Goldsmiths may be a chain, they are no Elizabeth Duke

*Also I am from the South Wales area so am unfamiliar with any independant jewellers in Birmingham or London, but looking at a few nice indies in the Cardiff area, we actually saved money with Goldsmiths in comparison.

Gold is currently the cheapest it's been in six years.

Go the Jewelry Quarter in Birmingham and make a weekend of it, 40% of UK jewelry is made there.

Haggle and there's thousands to be saved.

If you are spending thousands in the first place then I'm sure this would be a good bet, if however you are on a budget and live nowhere near the Jewellery Quarter, then is this not a fair deal?

It's a terrible deal, Goldsmiths are notoriously expensive.

Jump on a train, it's a great experience to go the Jewellery Quarter.

BTW it's not just cheaper, you can have anything custom-made . That is priceless especially when it's going to be worn hopefully for a very, very long time.

You're entitled to your opinion of course, like I said in comparison to the Cardiff indies, I had a good deal (I'm sorry that is so difficult for you to believe). Getting on a train as you say is not cheap and instantly cuts into potential savings. Again if you are spending a small fortune on this, sure I would agree with you, but for people like me on a very tight budget, this worked out very well for us. Also just to note, my partner and I don't require expensive custom made rings to show our love for each other, and are very happy with what we got
Marriage? Might as well have found a woman I absolutely hate and give her all my money.
