Lovely lock picking training set.

Looks like a lot of fun to kill a bit of time in 'lock'down.

Reviews are pretty good

Seems that we're all key workers now.
I have this lockpick set minus the credit card, it's actually quite good and the pouch is very nice. The transparent lock is garbage and doesn't work well but it does let you understand the principles. However if you watch lockpicking lawyer enough on youtube and associated vids you probably already know how to use it, and it doesn't take long.

It's quite a fun hobby but it's expensive as you'll end up going down to wilkos and buying a bunch of padlocks, which you'll find after an hour of practice you can open in about 20 seconds each.

You'll end up buying some door locks which are more pricy (aliexpress is reasonably cheap for this, but then again, these lockpicks are on aliexpress likely for less), they're much harder to pick due to false sets but still doable with enough practice.

You can get picks for warded locks on ebay - you can't pick warded locks with these (the epically cheap padlocks which are made of lots of stacked metal discs).

Don't practice on your own locks, because if you cock it up you won't be able to unlock your front door anymore, and door locks have false sets and security pins to make them harder to pick.

I'd like to see you hold a chisel in place with one hand and then attempt to hit it with a sledge hammer held in the other hand.
£8.85 on ebay. Voted cold.
This is no deal....
Too many people at home atm!
Great way to promote crime at this moment of time
This is a decent starter pick kit, with some practical skills this kit would be able to pick most 6 pin barrel locks. Most house locks could be picked with this set if you know what you are doing.
Often on Vipin and given away for free in exchange for a review.its a gimmick bordering on toy. Only useful on locks pre 1901
Something to do in lock down.. lol
Bump keys are easier.

I've done it plenty of times in my job.

When people have lost access to communal bike sheds etc. No padlock.ive encountered as past the test
Best laugh of the day.
The training lock is more difficult to pick than any masterlock

Similar. In this instance he's using a crow bar. Try it

Perfect for killing time during lockdown... handy if your neighbours went for their 1h exercise and you can pick their locks and nick all their bog roll.

1 piece missing, and no E book guides, but still good value

I have this set and would not recommend, its incredibly cheaply made and hurts your hands holding the picks with the crappy cheap metal handles and the tork wrenches twist out of shape easily and you have to bend them back again

Additionally I've snapped the ends off a few of the picks practicing

The hook tool (for removing broken keys) in particular it broke off using it for its intended purpose of removing a busted key fortunately I also have another more expensive set that worked to remove the snapped key and the broken pick

moral of the story is if you want to play with tools like this don't skimp out on the cheaply made ones
