Has anyone noticed that as soon as you have caught\burnt something on these non-stick woks, then that's it and it will always catch\burn at that point forever? Unlike a proper carbon steel wok without the non-stick coating that you can brillo and reseal?

Yeah, but for £8.99...........

I'd have to say, I bought this about two weeks ago....it sucks. I was on my motorbike & was worried the box would be too big. I needn't have...the whole box is only about 10" cubed. The quality of the stuff inside is *complete* pikeyville....great for people living full time in trailers. I'd have been well peeved if I'd paid the pre-discounted price.

Avoid.

That's why i'd never buy a "non-stick" wok. Well, unless a roll of sandpaper was included in the deal;-)

previously posted Feb 2007 (!) at £9.99 so not sure when the "original" price of £25 :giggle: apllied!

these are ****, just buy a proper wok from Chinese shop, dirt cheap, about £5.

I'd also go for a 14" wok, the one supplied is too small for proper cooking.

I voted this cold because it's false economy, I would much rather pay £30-£50 for a proper wok because;

1. It's more environmentally friendly.
2. I will never have to buy another one.

I'm sometimes disgusted with this throw-away society.

Just my opinion.

agree with whats been said, don't skimp on your cookware if you're serious about it. The heat transfer in a proper one allows the food to be cooked at a v.hot temperature and all over the wok. this is just a glorified pan that will die if you take it anywhere near the heat you need for a bone fida 4 minute stirfry.... hth

Wow just looked at the online wing yip store and you can get a 14" carbon steel wok for £6.17 + VAT + Del. I pop in next time I'm near one of their stores.

£30? Get one like the one above (Wing Yip), anything costing £30-£50 is not going to be as effective as the proper Chinese ones.

If you have used this you'll be voting cold!

Forget it! It's ****!
