Was in a meeting this morning, and got told that we (Sainsburys) are running a fuel promotion starting from tomorrow for 2 weeks. That is if you do a £20 shop, you get a 6p off per litre fuel coupon (comes out of the nectar reward printer) and if you spend £30, you get 12p off per litre of fuel. This is a great deal !!!

This is an offer exclusive to selected Nectar registered customers who will receive vouchers through the post to use instore if they spend the required amount it is not an offer for all customers.

The "Your nectar points are worth double the value" ? If so that has been and gone, it was *Selected stores only*

£240 spend = free petrol + free money?

No chance!

Damn, just spent over £20 in Sainsburys earlier

What meeting was this OP? And who was present?

Morning Briefing, most morning staff present including deputy manager, and several department managers.

hot! now anyone selling a car for cheap?

i can second that there is a 6p off a litre with a 20 spend as i recieved my vouchers yesterday but did not get a 12p off 30spend!

Sounds like one of those selected nectar customers only who receive a voucher through the post.

I got vouchers for £50 spend = 12p off per litre

Ah well..it passed my store by....

Thanks

Pretty big promotion, yet zero advertisement. Sounds too good to be true.

I personally don't believe the OP. rarely does a petrol promotion begin on a Sunday first of all. And sounds far too good to be true.

I didn't believe it either when I heard it this morning, but it was all writen down on an email, with images of the 'promotion vouchers'.
I second the zero 'advertisement' query, does seem very bizarre. But i'm just posting what i've found out from my stores meeting.

sounds like it's vouchers sent to people in the post (selected remember) and then they go into store and spend the required amount, as nationwide petrol promotions the coupons comes out with the a receipt (using receipt paper, not coupon machine)

we'll see tomorrow.

Know how you feel, I went shopping today too.

p.s I can find absolutely nothing on the 'Net to even hint at any petrol voucher promotion since the last one ended at the end of April.

Reported......until tomorrow (_;)

Expired for now until confirmed, let us know via the report function when this is live and we`ll unexpire.

COLD! "To selected registered nectar customers" & "It is not an offer for all customers" Probably be 1 printed every 5000 customers!

That sounds more like it.....utter crap if so !

If it is for selected Nectar folk, it will likely be like Banks offering loans, only to those who don't need it.

My vouchers came the other day. They run for 4 weeks. First and third week gives me 6p off a litre for a £20 spend. Second and fourth weeks are £4 off £20 spend online or in store purchase. The first voucher is valid from today.

Is this offer on?

I got my vouchers last week to be used from today which gives you the petrol voucher if you spend £20-gutted cos I spent £40 in there yesterday

Just spent £115 in the local Sain today, used my Nectar card for points. Will see if I get a fuel voucher in the post in the next few days or not.
I personally think half of these deals are whether you use the fuel or not, along with the other big database they have on each Nectar Card and ultimately Computer will probably say no as I go too often for them to need to attract me to go even more.
