10 pack usually a quid from places like B&M
These are AWFUL. They barely last 3 weeks in my TV remote control. Avoid! And yes, they are £1 in B&M for 10

I don't doubt you for a moment, but the free delivery straight to my door saves me much more than 89p in petrol and time.

You can walk it and save 89p
Zinc Carbon dont buy only good for tv remotes same as all zinc carbon chemistry batteries.
Cold.. 1£ in poundshop all time... Add to that these aren’t good batteries. Doesn’t last long. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
They are not that good for high drain items and are only £1 in Home bargains
Less than £3 for 20 top quality batteries - hot
Probably fakes, so many fake batteries about, amazon is full of them.

Getting a decent set of rechargeables will save you loads in the future.
Zinc - don't do it, usually a false economy, get alkalines or rechargeable batteries. An alkaline will usually last 4 or 5 times longer than zinc and are usually less likely to leak.

I wouldn't recommend zinc at all especially not in low draining devices like remote controls or clocks

I can assure you these aren't top quality, they only lasted a month in my TV remote control, you may as well drop your money down the grid.
These last ages, Panasonic is a top brand. Someone posted a chart on batteries and these were in the middle.
I could never understand why Panasonic allowed their good name to be used on these batteries.
Even by Zinc Carbon standards they are poor.

You're getting confused, that was the Panasonic Alkaline batteries in the middle of that chart (which are fine), these are the Zinc ones and they were 4th from bottom!

Seeing as it's a 12 mile round trip to my nearest town I think i'll pass on that.

I have a box of these and I can confirm that they last ages in my torch.

Not if you turn it on they won't. These are poor, from personal experience (the wife got some) and 5th from bottom here...38589968-2VhVT.jpg

Was just looking for this, shows just how poor these batteries are.

At 2600 mah these are much better value:

Agreed, those CPC ones do look very, very good value - you may have convinced me to sway from my standard go-to of Wilco Powerplus. Equally though, trying to move to rechargables where possible and the Ikea (disguised eneloops) have really impressed.
