Thanks, just what I need.:)

Since switching over to stay-charge rechargables I haven't looked back. Do these leak as badly as the old Procells?

O
Never had an issue with them leaking just make sure you buy from reputable source as oddly batteries like razor blades are one of the most faked item on eBay.

I bought these from a seller on Amazon, they didn't work although they were in date .
good luck, not putting you off

There are many other options available instore - ikea's alkalisk are by far the best value at 10 for £1.50 and b+m have 32 Philips for £6.

Nope, you're right. The old red/black ones? I went to use something the other day with them in and they'd leaked everywhere

I've had a torch and remote go on me as well! *Touch wood*, these new ones have been fine.

Heat OP but there are always deals around to be had on eBay, you just need to decide on how many/how much you want to save.

you only get 20??

I was about to purchase until I saw a comment on page 2 of his recent negative feedback suggesting he's selling fake batteries.

The trouble is, he may be a genuine/honest seller only with a dodgy supplier. I've found in the past with headphones that if the price is good and the seller is even remotely questionable then you're almost guaranteed to end up with fakes. I wasn't aware until someone posted it that batteries are often faked too so I think I'll stick with buying direct from Amazon in future.

So, I just got ANOTHER box of fakes off of the bay... not even that cheap either!

I even specifically asked if the batts were genuine, had the etching, had the colour banding etc. And the seller said they did.

Is it just a case of asking the seller for a return or should I also report to eBay? Anyone with recent experience? The seller was savinguk to warn people.
