Was posted on here 2 days ago at £7.99, They're battery operated and can be used indoors or outdoors, so you can hang them pretty much anywhere! They come with 8 functions of flashes, fades and twinkles or you can just choose to have them steadily shining bright. They can also be set on a timer, which is perfect for outdoors so you won't have to pop out each evening to set them going.

Until the power runs out, I guess

Make sure you know when buying they are battery operated. Bought these yesterday and didn't realise so need to go get 3 x AA batteries.

I know people aren't stupid but it didn't cross my mind they may need batteries.

bought some nice classy multi coloured ones for my balcony

How bright are they with the batteries?

brill find cant go wrong for 5.99 for 200 lights cost a 1.00 for 20 in pound land.

fab deal

Battery operate lights on a timer are great, I'd never go back to mains lights . I use rechargeable batteries on mine.

For those who got the Nectar points offer which was posted on here yesterday you can get these lights from the Argos store on Ebay as click and collect

I guess this very much depends on which batteries you use.

How does the timer work? I don't see any dials or buttons for setting time?

I'm glad I forgot to pick these up when I had reserved them the other day! Heated added

Thanks

They have a timer built in. When you turn them on they will stay on for 8hours and then turn themselves off for 16 hours.

Well that solved a problem!
Thanks.

Thanks ordered from ebay to collect in store; mine is 100 nectar point though

What is the full length of these from first light? It says lead length 4m I assume this from the battery box to the first light

Unfortunately the discount code HOME25 to get 25% off has expired (£7.99-25%=£5.99) , so that just proved that retailers are putting their prices up and then issuing discount codes to make us feel that we are getting excellent deal....

Was just what was needed! Reserved. Many thanks - heat added.

Looks like they are mains operated...

See Argos Q&A: argos.co.uk/pro…578

You could only use that code on £30 spend so it would have been £7.99

Same price in Argos stores, I just reserved 4 for collection.

Used my nectar bonus click n collect for an extra 500 points, thanks OP

For those who prefer mains operated argos also have 200 led bright white lights half price to £9.99

No stock near me. £3.95 delivery charge.

It states in description they're battery operated and someone has bought them already and also said they take AA batteries
Edited by: "acababes" 2nd Dec 2016

Anyone got this and can post a picture to see how they look up?

Are these indoors or outdoors?

I have some similar ones and they are really quite clever... just press the on button at the time I want them to go on and then just leave them to it until after Christmas. They automatically turn themselves off after a while and then back on again at the same time every day until manually turned off. Dont know if these work the same, but the controller looks very similar and so much easier than fannying around with the mains ones!

(reading the Q&A for these someone has written it comes with timer included, so its looking promising these work that way)

I had some last year and the batteries lasted well - a good couple of months much to my surprise as I was expecting them to run out much quicker.

Cheers OP, very tempting, already got a few lights last week from there sale, but these would be ideal for a small tree at the side of the house.
