I voted hot, but I have my doubts over the Quidco, there is a difference between tracking and actually paying out, I just can't see 02 paying out on something for 2 months

That is why I went for 2 months rather than 1 - I think 2 months would be ok.

This is certainly a good deal if you are in the market for a sim free contract though.

It'll vary depending on merchant, I took out then cancelled my T-Mobile Sim Only Contract at £6 cost last year, but I was lucky, they paid £76...

This is a £15/£30 gamble if you doing it for Quidco only in my opinion.

Is there any way to get quidco back after you do the deal? i signed up for the £25 sim only yesterday but like a tube forgot about quidco!! gutted!!

I would cancel the one you got yesterday nd do it again today - if you signed up online you should get a cooling off period.

O2 are usually a bit sloppy - late last year I signed up to a contract with them, but they kept having issues with 'credit checks' (despite the fact I already had several lines with them and was only replacing a line that I'd cancelled a month before).

The contract was never authorised (they kept messing me about until I got fed up and told them to forget it), yet they still paid me the quidco cashback.

Which was £35 for literally nothing. Bargain!

Sorry to dis Quidco again but I started a new contract with O2 over 12 months ago. all went through smoothly as far as O2 but didn't track in Quidco.

Placed an enquiry with Quidco in April last year and it is STILL outstanding.

Try submitting it again or contacting them. I did this over RAC and they eventually paid up. I've found persistance gets results.

yes it does take 3 months to pay but im sure they will pay once it has been validated which is before 3 months.

working fine for me

I just signed up for this today, good deal, was looking to move away from orange anyway, going to move me to this one & my girlfriend to pay as you go o2 I think so I get free calls from me to her & £60 cashback.

At the moment I'm spending £25 a month (and thats being careful) mostly calling my GF when I use my company phone (we have to pay for personal calls) so this is an easy moneysaver for me.

edit - oh and this deal has been on for ages the only thing that has changed is the quidco cashback.

you have to sign up to 2 months as you need to give 30 days notice which will take you over to 2 months.

i also have lack of faith in o2. they take longer than most to track at quidco and they havent tracked any of the 4 phones i bought last week.

no you can cancel as soon as you get the sim card so you will only be with them for 30 days.

Ahh literally just bought one of these a few days back - £23.33 tracked on Quidco, better than nowt.

Rubbish, you've 100% made that up with no knowledge or experience to back it up. Try reading my first post - O2 validated and paid me for the contract I took up, despite never actually sending me a phone or activating the contract.

Does anyone know..... do o2 "Pay Monthly Simplicity tariffs" (SIM Only) count as "pay monthly tariffs" to obtain the £5 discount on broadband tariff if you have o2 Broadband?

I already have o2 Broadband and a further £5 saving per month would make this SIM only/Quidco deal vary appealing!

Yes, but you need to keep it active and top up at least something like £20 every three months (or it might be £10 every three months thinking about it)

didnt pay mine had it for one month and they wouldn't pay up.

they reduced the cashback on this because it was meant for pay monthly only - the pay monthly on o2 is £100 and it clearly states £50 for sim only so i would be suprised if they dont pay out.

A tad off topic but while we're all talking about o2 tariffs.

If I go for the Talkalot tariff do I have to keep the phone topped up on a regular basis or can I just do what I do with my orange phone now which is topup about £5 a year and just use it to recieve calls?

My girlfriend is gonna get the o2 £15 a month sim only one with £50 cashback then she'll be able to call my o2 pay as you for free as well as getting 200 mins & 400 texts to other numbers.

Does this all make sense or have I messed something up, just checking as there are a lot of T&C's all over the place on that site & it's hard to tell whats relevant.

I don't think you're the only one who was unlucky, looking at the statistics for this on quidco, it doesn't look like a reliable one to track when you compare it to the majority (see below):

O2: Medium (92% tracked, 8% enquiries)

Majority of retailers: High (98% / 99% tracked, 1% / 2% enquiries)
