2000 Mins, 5000 Texts & Unlimited 4G Data (1 Month Rolling) Sim only £20.00 on ID Mobile

Found 12th May 2015
So ID Mobile has launched recently and I think it has an even stronger proposition than three!

In summary you get:
1 Month Rolling Contract (Freedom to switch if you don't like it)
2000 Minutes
5000 Texts
Unlimited 4G Data (Does not allow Tethering thanks psycost)
Capped Contracts (£5 limit set that you can go over per month)

Looks like its a revival of the good ol' One Plan from Three. Might switch myself!

-Also offer 12 month Phone Plans!

"Welcome to your new iD.
iD, from Carphone Warehouse, is an exciting new mobile network with a big difference. We’re the first mobile network built around what you actually want."

Thanks i've edited the post.

Looks pretty good!

Overall in houses Three has the worst reception. Their reception doesn't seem to penerate through walls as well as other networks

So 3 kick thousands of existing customers from The One Plan, offering them alternative deals which are generally much worse for the customer at a higher price.

Then give the almost exact same deal through CPW (bar tethering which some people where abusing/using(delete as you see fit)

Ah well at least I have an alternative for the time my letter arrives X)

Nice find OP voted hot

Isn't the 22 country roaming thing only on the "take away" plan. I don't see the take away plan on the site

So probably this was the plan of 3 to kick Customers from 3 to ID

Hmmm..

I'm currently on Three's The One Plan @ £15 per month. Got the dreaded letter yesterday that they're moving me on to unlimited everything for "only" £22 a month (discounted from £30 per month).

Do I stick with Three @ £22 or go for this deal for £20? I don't need tethering so that's not an issue. I am concerned, however, that Three might de-prioritise iD customers in favour of their own, with regards to data traffic / speeds. In which case, for the sake of £2 a month, perhaps I'm better off with Three..?

Yes, TakeAway plan is only on 24 months contract with a new phone, NOT on sim only plan!!! So if you buy the £20/month sim only plan, there is NO FREE ROAMING in the 22 countries. I believe the deal description is wrong!

Are you definitely sure about this? Its not that I don't believe you, but I thought it included sim only?

I guess that depends if you want to want to use your phone abroad. As the comment above mentions, the plans on ID where you can use abroad in select countries seem to only be on the 24 month contracts with a phone, so that would be the main loss. Entirely depends on if that is a deal breaker or not for you.

Why never Canada?!??! Frustrating.

This is their description of the plan:
Plan types and features
And only Takeaway plan has free roaming. If you search the sim only plan, you only get "Goto" plan and "ShockProof" plan (plus "DataOnly" plan), nothing about Takeaway plan. The plan for buying a new phone does, however with Takeaway plan, but only if you take 24 months contract, not 12 months either.

Ok thank you, I have now edited the post. Still a pretty good deal though!

If you are out of contract with three in on the one plan that won't change you off it. Unless you want to ? I've been out of contract for 2 years on the one plan. For £15 a month and I kept my £10 discount a month to bring it down to £25.

Plans to sort that problem this year.

Will the "three in touch" android app work with this lot?

Id have posted one of their deals earlier if I wasn't overseas... Glad there's a new virtual network that isn't using o2 or voda.

Will the three home signal box work with the iD network? I have no signal in my house but have a free signal box.

luck you I got offered that plan but at the £30 a month double what I pay now

good luck keeping that for much longer three are moving everyone from the old one plan you will get a letter at some point

£9.90 with three all you can eat data,200 minutes and unlimited texts.had the 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb of data for £6.90 then for another £3 all you can eat data so £9.90

Got the letter too and been looking around. Not sure whether to do this giffgaff or tpo?

Banned

So the only alternative for unlimited data on Three is a Three MVNO..hardly an alternative.

Three signal is awful where I am so this will also be useless, such a shame.

well nothing confirmed so far but three also have the 1month £20 SIMO plan with:
unlimited data,
unlimited texts,
200min.
and includes roaming

I was interested in the shockproof feature, but it looks like you don't get the free roaming with that, unless I've missed something.

How can they stop you tethering! How is it even possible?
